Center Perks - Best Place to Dig?

I have all the tools I need: Food, sturdy digging tools etc. I just don't know where I should dig and when I should dig. Does anyone have any advice?

Dug all the way from the bit behind the cell all the way past the fence and to the road. It was a success thanks to the multitool!!!!! :3

Use bed sheets on the bars, use a bed dummy, and dig under the desk. 200 days into my little project, and they still have no clue.

I made a bed dummy, wore a guard outfit and dug behind the cell, where the prisoner stash is. I'd recommend doing it at night.
