How to cover a hole?
Please. Don't just say "Use desk". I'm talking about a hole to other areas. I've tried many grand escapes from Fhurst Peak, two of which involved dragging items onto holes that I dug, but in the end I realized that I can't drag anything but desks.

My plan for this is to get a tunnel from the empty cell to the woodshop, but I have no idea how I could cover the hole in the woodshop. You can't move any objects onto the hole from there.

I've seen a lot of people talking about their grand tunnel network leading all over the prison, but I've yet to actually find out how to hide a hole.

Carry your desk from someone elses room (Or your own, but you would have to go on an Adventure to get your items back XD) And carry it all the way over to your room.

I didn't know you could use the poster to cover a wall hole. I always used a fake wall block. What are the disadvantages of using a poster?

currently there are no disadvantages. the poster is the best choice because it doesn't break

I have no idea, but did you try out sack of cement or dirt? To cover a hole from above or below ?

I don't want to fill in the hole. I want to be able to enter at will, but not have to dig back into it every time I want to access it.

Walls are broken with "chipping" damage. Use a fork, screwdriver, or pickaxe.
