Solitary
When you are found to have cut down a wall or a vent, you are sent to solitary confinment, fine, but i wish that if you were sent, they first had to find you, as i have been close to escpaing and found myself in solitary confinement, this was extremely annoying

This is pretty much breaking the game for me at the moment, I'll be outside at night digging a hole to freedom and then magic solitary confinement, it's a shame too because its the only thing letting this game down.

I can agree that if you're outside the prison walls or about to escape at night, then you shouldn't be automatically sent to solitary. But if you're just digging a hole, and they spot it... there wouldn't be any point to having to chase you down. They WILL catch you, it's just a matter of time. Sending you to solitary is actually a time-saver... during the day.

But maybe at night the rules can change a little? That would allow for daring escapes, while still keeping the challenge of solitary during the day. It isn't like Guards will just 'forget' that hole in the vents during the day, but if they spot you digging to freedom at night... that's pretty different.

Solitary is really OP. You shouldn't be "Magically" sent there instantly. They should have to find the problem, investigate, then go after the prisoner. Not "A hole in the wall!? It must be James' fault!"

This is easily my biggest problem with the game at the moment.

if the guards had to find you, it would be too OP, I think it's balancing the game, because if you can cut down hole walls with plastic forks, then guards can drag you back, just be smarter then the guards, that's all guys, if they don't see the hole, everything is fine

@flip yea but it would not be too hard to find you, there is what, 10 guards on the very first level? it won't take long

5 only, in some cases it would be hard to found you, because you burry yourself under tha ground without having a bed dummy in your bed, so they can't found you

CBA anmore, it is a crap game anyway
Martyin May 17, 2015 @ 7:44am
Honestly I think it IS a time saver for the guards to find you automatically. Even if you manage to walk to the edge of the map, logically if the guards still spotted your tracks they'd simply swarm the entire area surrounding the prison and find you, resulting in an unsuccessful escape. It's not just about escaping, it's about escaping undetected. After all, as a prisoner you don't exactly have a car or any form of ID which would allow you to obtain a car or airplane ticket.

What would be the point in hiding away in a vent or a hole, anyway? They'd find you eventually, it would be dumb to expect them to simply 'forget', and it'd be a waste of gameplay, not to mention a waste of time trying to develop this into the game to begin with. It is a little jarring to get suddenly thrown in solitary, but frankly you'd be raging all the same over being caught at all rather than dealing with solitary.

And honestly, I think this is balanced out by the fact that you can always just restart the day again. Your game doesn't save when it sends you to solitary, after all.

^ same idea

How is it happening though? What are the guards finding that triggers solitary? Just cover the hole with dirt or obscure it with your desk. If you have a bed dummy and sheets on the bars they never see the hole entrance at night.
