I've got a grappling hook, now what?

I'm playing in Shanktown State Pen. Got a hook, got through the fence, walked up to the big wall, tried to use. You can't use that there. What?

You need more than just a hook, try adding on some rope and what not.

Grappling Hook can only be use to climb walls when you're on the roof I think. But I never used a stepladder before, have to try.

from what i've seen, bother sheet rope and grappling hooks do nothing at this point.

They do, but only work for edges between roofs. Sheet ropes (and normal ropes) allow you to climb down those small walls and the Grappling Hook allow you to climb them up. You can also cross the external big wall with it, if you're on an adjacent roof. You can escape this way on some prisons with a ventilation system ;)

yes, but I am mearly stating that I cannolt use the ropes to go down. in other maps without vents, like stalag flucht or jungle compound where you can climb right to the roof from the gorund level, you can just jump off the roof, but not on state pen or center perks, where getting to the roof takes means going through the vents. on those, you cannot jump off the roof. you need the rope, but the rope doesn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ work.

The rope does work. Select the sheetrope and click on the edge of the roof while you're near it and you can descend.

that's the point I was making. there's still a bug with the ropes, which means they do not work as intended, like I said in the begining.
