More Interactivity With Unconscious People
One of the most entertaining things I've found you can do in the game is pick up and carry unconscious people like they were a desk. While hilarious, there isn't really any practical use for this, unless two people are down on the same spot and you want to interact with both of them.

What if there were more things you could do with people while they were out? How about being able to carry people through metal detectors, letting you sneak contraband by? At first I thought this would make it too easy, but what if it only worked on guards?

For example, if I stashed a comb shiv on Shivy Shankton's body and carried him through a metal detector, they'd chase me down as normal. But if I knocked out Officer Fragile, stashed some duct tape on him, and carried him through, I'd be fine. The reason I think this would be balanced is that guards are much tougher to knock out, there's fewer of them, you'll be attacked on site if another guard sees you, and obviously beating up a guard causes a lot more heat and will lower your reputation with that guard (meaning they'll eventually start dishing you out random beatings).

Since carrying around a prisoner right now is basically identical to carrying around a desk, what about being able to use unconscious prisoners as Stepladders? They'd serve the same function, letting you climb to higher places, but obviously they'd get up and move after a while and wouldn't be practical after dark.

But even if no "practical" uses are added, how about functions that are more for fun than anything? Like, if my cellmate who I'm buddies with gets knocked out, I can carry him to the infirmary and place him on a bed, making him wake up faster and increasing his opinion a bit. Small stuff like that.

Thoughts?

Er, I don't agree with the using officers to get through contraband detectors and the stepladder.
Reasons:

a)I just don't like it. :(
b)I'm pretty sure if you try to stand on an unconcious person lying down you'll only go up by like a few centimeters. (Unless they're as fat as the moon.)

I like the one where you can like, take them to the infirmary. That sounds cool.

Well, I can't argue with that, but that's not much of a reason.

Depends on how they're oriented. Arrange them right, and I think you could get enough height to reach the ceiling if you tried hard enough. But I mean, given the game's perspective, it's not like it'll look weird in-game if you're standing on someone.

Figured I'd get that. Ah, well. Not much to be done about it now.

I really don't see us using an unconscious body as a step ladder. It just doesn't really make sense, no matter how you orient a person they'll be lying limp on the ground providing you with probably less than a foot of something to step on. I'm also kinda stuck imagining us stepping on their chest and causing the ribs to break by our sheer weight...

If the idea's in this were to be used, we'd probably need to extend the knock out time a little... though I can't say I'd ever be using this. If I really need to get things past the contraband scanner I'll just get a contraband bag, an officer requires too much strength/health in the hard maps and your heat rising and the attention you'll grab seems like you'll be put down before you have time to do whatever crazy thing you had planned.

Standing on them like desks just doesn't make sense to me cause people aren't as wide as desks. Least I can't possibly picture any way that'd work... Unless you stack them against a surface like a chair or desk, but then, why not just use the desk in that case? Maybe you can stand on another prisoner that's giving you a boost instead, but an unconscious body?

I'm not bashing, I'm just really curious as to how you're picturing that to work.

The Guard idea could work, I guess... I don't see the practicality in that idea since you'll almost never be 'handed' a Guard, and the benefits that you describe by using the Guards body doesn't sound all that great to me, but that's just one opinion. I don't see how carrying a prisoner through the contraband scanner would effect YOUR heat, it seems more like you'd be getting the inmate in trouble.
Taking an unconscious inmate places to aid them and receive a response from the aid seems like a good idea. I'd like to see a 'thanks' when I carry my fellow inmate to rollcall.

If they ever implement more teamwork options, then by all means, this would certainly be a great idea.

It's a 2D top-down game, is how I'm picturing it. It would show your sprite standing on top of the unconscious prisoner's sprite, and revealing the next floor like it does when you stand on a desk.

Yeah, in real life, it likely wouldn't work very well, but it MIGHT just allow you to jump high enough to reach the ceiling. What if you folded them over each other and stood on their back? I realize it wouldn't be practical and either way you'd likely break something on the prisoner. My point wasn't to make it REALISTIC, just to add a possible use for a function that, currently, doesn't really serve one.

I don't see how carrying a prisoner through the contraband scanner would effect YOUR heat, it seems more like you'd be getting the inmate in trouble.

Well, yeah, but I assume if the idea WERE implemented, they'd magically trace back the contraband to the player like they do with everything else.

Wow, my mind went in a totally different direction when I read that title. #PrisonLife
