Avast keeps deleting .exe file after download
I really don't know what the hell to do. I admit that i'm actually a noob with these things. After the download, a pop up tells me that a file got deleted while 2 were moved into the bin. I click "set the file as safe", it pop up a window where i type infos about the game.. but then avast, if i download it again, does the same thing.

Some help?

The same thing happened to me while I was doing a startup scan. Scanning says that the .exe is infected.
maybe someone hacked steam and added a virus to the escapists?

more likly another virus did it, or your virus scanner is thinking the escapist is a virus (maybe because it can delete savefiles), of course the escapist isn't a virus :P

No, i don't think so. It's a false positive but since i cannot do anything and seems that MANY people had this problem and developers can't (or don't want?) develope a patch, i asked and obtained a refund.

Yes, it's a false positive. But still, developers who just limitate to say "hey, deal with it and set the file as safe" instead to do something as a patch, do not deserve anything. Refunds obtained.
