Workshop Prisons No Longer Download

Hi, basically what the title says. Workshop Prisons no longer download into the game, and looking into the game files my Custom Prisons folder where all the Workshop Prisons were is gone. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Does not work. I've tried Reintegrating the game's files or whatever it's called. Does not work. I've tried replaced the Custom Prisons folder. Does not work. I've tried downloading a multitude of other prisons, even very popular ones. Does not work. No matter what I do, I cannot get my Custom Prisons folder to return and I cannot download new Custom Prisons. I can still play all the ones I've already downloaded just fine, but I cannot download any new ones no matter what I do. I've tried following instructions and potential fixes that I've found in other similar discussions from other people, but to no avail. Can somebody please help me?

Edit: So, just a little extra I just discovered. Prisons that I already have downloaded don't work either. Once I try to save the game on any custom prison I already have, game crashes, and when I try to reload to save it says the .cmap file can't be found or whatever, which is to be expected because the Custom Maps folder is gone. What am I supposed to do, this is ridiculous!
Edit 2: Did some playing around, realised I've been making the Custom Maps folder in the wrong spot. Meant to be in the The Escapists folder found in the Documents folder, not in steamapps. At first it had none of my mapfiles, but after booting up the Prison Editor suddenly I got all of them back, which is good. However, subscribing to maps does not automatically download the map into said file. I had to take it over manually if the author provides a cmap file, which is annoying. Will have to do some more fiddling around with.

Oh, thanks for the reply, but I've already fixed this on my own. I'm not entirely sure how I fixed it, I kinda just fiddled around with files and whatnot until eventually it worked (however I think the fix might have something to do with opening the TE1 Editor, but that's just an assumption), but now subscribing to maps and whatnot works as intended.
