Stepladder instructions?

I bought a stepladder from one of my fellow inmates for a ridiculous price and now I can't figure out how to use it. Nothing I do allows me to place it on the ground. How does it work?

I've actually never bought one because i've never found a use but i do think you just place it down and then you can climb up on it like a desk or table to get up to vents and etc.

That's what I thought, too! But I can't seem to get it out of my inventory onto the ground. I don't know how to place it.

and the guards "punish" you for using it? Like when they find a hole or uncovered vent.

Well it is an illegal item, so having it is punishable worthy let along using it. You aren't even allowed to stand on tables...

That's what I thought, too! But I can't seem to get it out of my inventory onto the ground. I don't know how to place it.

Ive never used one either, but can you just right click it in the inventory to drop it on the ground and then walk on it like a desk?

Or try left clicking it then right clicking the area on the ground to place it and then walk on it?

Not sure how to help you but thats what I would try. Seems like it would be needed to get back up if you fall out a vent in the cleaning room or somewhere at night. but I have been focusing on the underground game havent needed a stepladder yet.

Also I wonder if you are able to carry a desk from another room and stand on your desk carrying the one you are holding up into the vents? Maybe that could solve your problem but I doubt that would work. If it does Early Access FTW >_<

You cant take your desk out of your cell through the door, but if you dig holes in the wall im qutie sure you can take it with you?
