Keep losing everything to cell searches

How in the world do you hide anything? I keep getting soooo close to finishing a lightweight shovel but searches keep messing me up.

in the vent, a tunnel or a empty cell at least what i know

I usually stash stuff in the vent. Even if they seal your vent again, everything is still up there

Stashing stuff in the desks of unused cells works pretty well... the only issue is that (I think) there is a script that randomly changes the first 6 (or so) slots of the desk inventory, so if you put stuff in those first few spots it may get overwritten. I've had good luck with the bottom two rows of unused desk inventories though, have yet to lose an item in those rows.

I've gone a game for about 11 game days, and all the stuff is stashed in the vents. I'll eventually open the way deeper for better searches, til then I'm maxing stats and stocking up. Still not sure how to get soem stuff w/o wiki-cheating so I'll likely try grapping over the perimeter fence. No Andy Dufre escape for now..

Don't stash stuff in the the empty cell desk. The desk refreshes every so often. The devs confirmed that a couple of days ago. Vent or keeping it on you except at work time is the best bet.

Yes that is true about the empty cell desk. I believe it's slots 1-6. Pain in the butt because that cell seems to be encouraged as a "safe" point in the prison. But slots 7-end seem to be good.

from what i seen on a youtube video when your name is called run back to your cell and stash it in anothers room that is not getting shake down then bring it back after guard leaves your cell

that's what i usually do too... hasn't failed me yet. not saying it never will, but it seems pretty reliable

hey, this is probably very late but when your cell is chosen for shakedown then just put all your contraband in the toilets but dont flush, try to keep some items on you aswell and after they check your cell you can put your stuff back in.

Lol, ya i didnt see anything anywhere about losing the stuff in the vents tho, so now people who see that will know
