Metal Detectors Dont only detect metal
Metal detectors detect any illegal item, from metal shivs to plastic keys.

They are illegal detectors, not metal detectors.

Yeah they're called contraband detectors and detect anything illegal ;)

It can get pretty silly though.
"Hey, that guy's carrying six chairs with him!'
"So?"
"Uh...isn't that contraband?"
"Of course not! Now, if he was carrying wooden braces, THEN we would have a problem!"
Thanks to this, the prison is now flooded with chairs.
(I ended up flushing all of them down the toilets, and none of them clogged :D.)
