tying up ppl

i have tried to tie up guards and prisoners to get keys and make them miss the job they have, but i dont know the button to do it... i tried right-click and left-click, but it will not work..
i heard that you can tie them up with sheet rope, rope, and duct tape.
P.S. which of these items holds them for the longest?

Click the duct tape or rope in your inventory then use it on the person you want to tie up. Ofc they need to be knocked out first.

Sheet rope doesn't work for me, but regarding rope and duct tape, rope lasts the longest followed by duct tape.

if u play on pc when the person you want to tie up is knocked you go near them and press spacebar
