Cant escape at all

well...i think i tried every idea that i had on my mind and i still cant escape (day 90 now)
i am playing the first prison and i always keep getting caught. i finished the tutorial without a problem but the first prison is a real pain....the funny thing is that its marked as very easy.

Tried vents and then the roof there was no way out, tried bringin down the walls didnt work out, tried punching every guard...got shot, tried diggin with spoons and shovels they found the tunnel, and a lot more fails. is it supposed to be unbeatable?
i believe that i am doing something wrong but idk what exactly.

Read some of the guides or watch some vids if you feel stuck. There a lot of ways to escape but it sounds like you are not covering your tracks, and why they find your exit paths. Can craft concealment items like fake wall block, vents, fence, posters and dummies.

me too.. ive reseted the game 3 times at around day 15 everytime because i got frustrated and wanted to start from scratch... finally, i tried vents and covered my tracks.. it worked... used the fake vent to conceal.. used the bed dummy to conceal my running away at night.. now i just dont know what to do because im crawiling around the vents cutting down the slats..

i feel like this game required patience

try going thru the walls, Posters help cover you tracks with walls duct tape and a magazine and then cut thru the fence at night. [wearing a guard suit]

I'm kinda facing the same problem but I think my game glitch out or something. Every time I try to escape I get found out basically instantaneously. Likes it's pitch black out in the middle of the night and I open the vent and instantly get the message that they discovered my vent open so I've been thrown in salutary until they fix it or whatever

Definitely have to cover your escape routes. I had a hard time with the first stage until I just focused on getting crafting notes (using wiki ruins the fun for me). I would start a game, get as much money as I could and search everything and every guy selling just trying to get crafting notes. Once I had figured out enough things to formulate an escape I would try it, learn what I did wrong and start over.

If you leave a vent open, they will notice that. So take the vent percentage down with whatever you have, but get a screwdriver for the final points. If you use the screwdriver on the last part, the vent cover remains intact and you can put it back over the whole while you explore the vents. If you do this at night though, guards might notice you aren't in your bed, though I didn't have that problem in the first prison. Alternatively you can learn how to craft a fake vent cover.

Personally, I quickly realized the vents weren't very useful, and once I figured out how to get through the wall, that was my objective. By the time I figured out how to escape the first prison, it only took 4 days. It really should have been 3, but I overestimated one of my tools.

Some prisoners just arn't good enough to escape. Maby your simulating the idiot prisoners who always get caught. Try taking your time, looking around first and come up with an escape plan, then put that plan into effect by getting the items you'll need, storeing them safely, then when your ready, take action.

Thanks for all this advice but the problem is that i tried all that....masking my escape but it just didn't work. fake vents, fake walls.....and stuff......the only logical explanation to this might be cause i have been to solitary many times and now the guards are very suspicious of me
(they have their eyes on me).

Nah, your doing one thing wrong that is slipping you up. When do you get caught? describe in detail what your doing, where, when, the exact moment you get caught.

He didn't do the first prison, but try watching some of Paulsoaresjr's prison escapes, it may give you a good idea of what to do. good luck escaping! :D

First of all its seems that most items in the game have durability...just sayin.
Alright here is what i did the first time i tried to escape

Day 1...followed orders
(went on rollcall eat breakfast blah blah blah did the laundry blah blah blah)
i keep doing that till day 15 where i gathered up some cash
( i was increasing my stats too i have 100 in all 3 stats now, i was doing favors too)
bought a screwdriver from a fellow mate and then tried to open a vent in my cell
of course i already had made a fake vent to cover it up BUT after some uses going up and down the vents each night to stock up some stuff and keep unscrewing other vents....well...you guessed it....the fake vent broke and they found me. 3 days to solitary
stats went down, no money left , got punched by another prison dude who didnt liked me and a lot more other bad stuff happened on the way and now i reached day 90 and i am out of ideas.

Do you use bed sheets to cover the bars? I know that's one thing that will help a lot because if they don't see you in the room, you will get caught. But you have to have a good standing with the guards, otherwise they will tear them down.

And also if you are having problems try to escape from the cell, look for areas where the guards don't check. If you see areas where they don't check at all, you could use that route to help you get out.

I know I found it hard at first, but if you plan ahead and cover your tracks, you should be able to escape.

And if that doesn't work, buff yourself up, get a weapon and a lot of duct tape and force you way out.

In my second try i was kinda ''every man for himself'' i bought a baseball bat i had 100 in all stats and battered up all guards...all good but....once i went outside i got shot
i tried all that again but it was night this time....guess what....i picked up the keys (to open the gates) from the guards and when they stood up i got a note from the warden ''you are goin to solitary cause we found a key missing'' hehehehehehehehe cheers the warden.
so punching everything on my way is definitely not a way out.

though i didnt knew you could cover the bars with bed sheets ty might be usefull in the future prisons (if only i manage to break out the first one)

and it seems that the guards search for every nook and cranny in the whole prison inside and outside cause idk maybe its because ive been to solitary over 10 times?

i tried planning ahead but it seems that it just wont work.....maybe.....i am just not made to break out of jail at all i dont know....i will stop thinking about breaking out of prison and serve my prison sentence

use an automatic screwdriver for the vents, you get a vent in your inventory every time

it takes longer to break and also unscrews faster
