Last Yland is not available!?

I have been enjoying the game and just went to show it to someone and now when I boot it up and go to adventure it says " YOUR LAST YLAND IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THE MOMENT. PLEASE SELECT A DIFFERENT ONE." What the hell kind of error message is that and when i click on the i icon it just disappears. Is my save corrupt? Is it something as stupid as there is a hotfix going on if so why would I be able to select a different one? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!

It can happen if you are trying to load back into someone else's server and it is offline currently or it can also happen if you have just switched between playing on PC and mobile.

I have a feeling it might be due to a recent server issue that has been reported by others in the past day, the devs are aware and are hopefully going to fix it soon. Being the holidays it might take a little bit longer than usual though.

I haven't played on any servers and have only played it on my computer. Just curious if it is something others were having issues with I've tried looking online and on here but its mostly people trashing the game, so far I have really enjoyed it and would like to use my current save even if it isn't far into the game.

If it is your own local map then I believe it is likely the current back end problem the devs are trying to resolve that is causing the issue. Are you able to enter any other map instead? If it doesn't allow you to change map at all then someone can send you a direct invite to their own map to "save" your character from being trapped.

Any time you encounter something like a bug, use the feedback button in the settings menu to send a report to the devs. This way they can investigate your specific circumstances much faster. The more reports they get the more bugs they can fix

Trying a different island worked so i could get my character sucks that I was at Elmwood's outpost, I'm assuming that since I left without piloting my ship I lost it and the items aboard at least I still have whats on my person thank you very much for the help!

Anything on your claimed ship will be saved, you can resummon it using the radial menu (Q key)

thank you very much I did end up finding that by accident right after. now I just have to figure out why I cant go back to elmwoods it just starts the loading then stops i can travel all over everywhere else just fine

The starting yland, all story maps including Elmwoods, as well as all of the mystery Ylands are affected by the bug right now so can't be accessed unfortunately. Will have to wait for after new year for dev team to get back and fix it before you can visit Elmwood
