Some things can't be picked up destroyed, so I recommend going to Arctic which has sparse/barren sea floors to make it easy. That or just scout out underwater, find a place you can clean up, do that, and bring the ship over.
Some of the blocks in the area are non-craftable and wont be captured in your blueprint" and I dont get a blueprint.
What could possibly be on my ship that is non-craftable??
I did notice you're in creative. It's possible you spawned something in by accident that wouldn't be craftable.
Good news, since you are in creative. You can open that world in the editor which will give error messages for whatever the problem is.
1) Open the editor - don't bother with setting anything specific up - it doesn't matter in this case.
2) Click on "Menu" in the top left.
3) Select "Open" in the menu drop-down.
4) If the pop-up windows says "select scenario to edit", then click "Games" at the bottom of that window.
5) Select your creative game.
6) Find your ship and click on it's hull.
7) On the left properties area, click "save as blueprint" and pick "game blueprint"
8) When you click next, any errors should show up on the right under "game log".
9) You can double click the errors to focus on whatever it has an issue with - delete or replace the item/block and repeat from step 6 after the errors are cleared.
It's a very nice looking ship, I hope you can get that blueprint.
Note: if this was adventure mode and you somehow got a non-craftable item/block on the ship, I'd suggest taking small-to-larger sectional parts of the blueprint. Don't save them, just use partial blueprint selections to test parts of the ship to narrow in on the non-craftable item/block.
but I am still getting an error: Entity Weld is not valid for use in Blueprint creation.
What does that mean??? Is it because I used the free place mod to line up blocks, and have some blocks and items over lapping each other to get a good fit??
when I try double clicking on the error nothing happens.
The entity weld issue should just be an editor import issue, usually that's not the case, but it's an easy fix.
1) Select your ship hull.
2) On the left in properties, there's an unweld option, click on that.
3) You'll need to re-select the ship hull.
4) Try saving the blueprint again.
I have a video showing how clear errors, including welded, when importing a ship from the workshop. Should be the same solution for your case.

Edit: I guess embedded doesn't care about time in url, so jump to 1:09 in the video
thank you very much for all your help.
Yes, I had to go out of the editor and back in before it would let me edit the weld, then I was able to save the bp.
thanks again.
Glad you were able to get your blueprint :)
If you prefer building in creative, you can double check some more obscure blocks/entities as craftable in the editor.
Under entities, there's a filter to hide non-blueprintable objects.
Would be good suggestion for devs to have the same filter in creative, I think.
