Ylands. Is it good or bad.

(first of all let me say that steam has the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ log in mechanics of all. it doesnt decognize my pass, and its the tenth billion time that happen. that being said:)

Lets have an honest talk about this game. ive been thinking of buying it for quite some time and 3 or 4 days ago i went 4 it.
i keep hearing ppl saying that this game is worth the hussle. why? because from what ive played so far:

GOOD:
1 Editor mode
2 Procedurally generated map
3 The lvl of customization and construction

BAD:
1 Islands are WAY TO SMALL. It takes 2 to 3 minutes to explore one island
2 Caves have nothing interesting
3 The world is devoid of life except for a handfull of animals
4 There are no real enemies to fight (most of the animals can be avoided and if you decide otherwise they fall from 1 charged hit
5 Somewhere in the patch it sais combat 2.0. Its worse than 1.0
6 In the tutorial it says something about heavy hit (or on "customize controll" list) and i cant find anything other than normal hit and a charged hit
7 Nothing other than starvation threatens your life
8 Ive started and played around 8 9 games. every time there are the same 2 or 3 structures around the map. nothing different.
9 A lot more foliage around the grass area and other parts that logically have it

MISSING (personal oppinion in order 4 the game to drive you to play more):
1 Citys and NPCs
2 Bosses to be faught
3 Special stuff lootable from bosses
4 More (and biger) creatures in the sea (
5 Combat 3.0
6 A purpose
7 Some more survival elements (one example would be sanity that decreases when you leave your base or ship, and increases when you are inside your base (rising proportionally to how big and how many different elements your base has - aka a reason to build biger bases other than just "its pretty" but useless)
8 Improve dodge mechanics (as of now its useless)

My only experience thus far with this game is a poor one consisting ofplaying 1 - 2 hours in order to leave the first borring island you are in, spend 1/2h-1h untill you descover one island, figure out that other than the collor the island you are now in is as borring as the first one, repeat untill you've found all 12 (or how many islands are there) all as borring as the last one.

So, what is it about the game that is so good? what am i missing? feel free not to reply if the only thing you can say are stuff like "this game is not for you". I want sure facts.

in my opinion, the game is bad.

First: Multiplayer, for me doesnt work. I can connect to the MP Servers but if it is loaded, i can not do anything. I mean i can not move or something else. Only thing i can do in Multiplayer is rotate the camera around my character. It seems, that i am not the only one, who havs these problems, because on some servers i see player characters standing drooling in the starting area of the servers whithout moving or doing anything. Sometimes i see dead player characters lying on the ground at the starting area because they simply starved to death.

Second: In Singleplayer mode, the game is unplayable dsifficult and hard because in exploration, I keep constantly dying from animal attacks. I wasnt able to get much resources or something.I saw the dam animals like wolves or panthers too late and i dont have any chance to defeat them because of no good armors or weapons. In addition to that in most cases, they are on groups like three or four (not that you can even defeat a single one)

However i have found out a trick to have fun in singleplayer.

I simply make a new exploration game.

I also make sure, that i am on a tropical island, because of rubber threes and melons. You need rubber for many things you know ? And melons are one of the best food sources, which feeds you really long.

Then i leave the game and as you know it saves automaticly.

Next i go to the editor, load the saved exploration game and simply put a complete set of iron armor and an iron warhammer at the starter point.

Safe the edited game and voila you can beat anything in the game whit easy and you dont must be afraid to die from the creatures having fun and enjoying the game.

So far my opinion. Sorry i can not say anything better.
