2-3 shots and POP.
As you said.. much easier to craft as well.
As for the gunpowder requirements, bullets take 10 gunpowder but yield 10 bullets per craft.
Yes but 1 gunpowder and 1 iron also gives 10 musket balls.
The rate of fire of the repeater is moot when most of its shots miss.
I've walked up to within meters of things and shot it dead to rights, only to have the shot miss.
I have never missed with the repeating rifle unless trying to shoot while the gun is still recoiling from the shot before. To me, it doesn't appear that there is any sort of accuracy mechanic in the game, and accuracy is all dependent on the player having their crosshair in the correct location. The bullet hits the crosshair every single time from what I have seen. I have become so good with countering the recoil between shots that I can continuously fire the repeating rifle and not miss any shots. Considering all of this, I'm not sure anything will convince me that the repeating rifle isn't the best gun in the game, thus far at least.
