Wall jumping? + some thoughts
So I'm stuck at a certain spot in the building with trees on top, specifically after the series of rod swings above the garden with a red fish.
It's a square indent that looks like a spot for wall jumping, but the walls are too far apart to actually go up.
I've also tried wall running, and while it gets me farther than walljumping, it's hard to pull off properly and feels wrong. What do I do here?

Now some thoughts/opinions:
I really like the game, but it's damn hard. Unless you're 3D platforming veteran, you're going to get frustrated with it. A lot of difficult jumps are preceded by a lengthy collection of simpler platforming segments which means that if you fail the difficult one, you'll have to do walk of shame that basically wastes your time.

Jumping off walls could use some work as well. I can't place my finger on it, but something about it just made me mis-jump a whole lot.

Also there's occasionally that one stereo wind sound effect that makes me feel like there's an Animal Crossing balloon somewhere nearby. It's distracting, please make it mono or something.

Other than that the game is fun, full of potential and I can't wait for the full release! Good luck finishing the game!

Hug the back of the wall and wall jump the exact moment you hit the corner of the two walls to get both a wall jump and an upwards arc from wall running.

There, just recorded a video on how to perform it.
Hope that helps! :)
