A vulnerability within the multiplayer client was found and is being abused by users DMing server admins on Discord, asking them to promote it for a lot of money.
Attackers can create a lobby, invite you, and will have read/write access to your entire operating system.

I just got an update for this game and checked out the discussions because of that, since the store page is gone.

Was the update the issue? Or an attempted fix?

Has anyone reported the game to Steam?

Hello, developer here, I have confirmed that this is an issue and the game is (correctly) removed from Steam until this is resolved. The update you get in Steam is basically Valve making the game a blank download to avoid further spread.

I am going to write a new post with some more information but this seems to have started on October 16th (judging by the Steam numbers) but the exploit has been in the game since the release. It does not affect you if you play time trial or local multiplayer.
