Two more things, right now I am using my friends r9 270X since my new nano doesn´t supprt my main desktops VGA port. Doesn´t work with neither of those 2 cards nor my nvidia660.
Also The specs above say its directx 8.XX... I´ve tried to manually install directx11.XX but windows said the same or a newer version has already been installed.
I also tried running Uplay in admin mode since I don´t own the game on steam. I also disabled all fps counter and Uplay overlays.
Right now I am kinda clueless. I hope you can help me, cheers.
an AMD nano and a 270 X will not work in crossfire together
an Nvidia gtx 660 will not SLI with an AMD card
PULL all but one GPU
get and USE ddu and clean out all your previous drivers in Windows safe mode
download and install a driver for what ever card you choose to use..... and install it
if you switch cards run DDU again in safe mode before you do and reinstall the right driver for it
the reinstall direct X from the games software \ support folder
and all the other microsoft run times for Visual basic and and . net framework
also since you have windows 7 make sure you have installed Microsoft Windows 7 Service pack 1
close all backround applications before you launch the game see the troubleshooting tips section PINNED to the top of the forums and see section #10
if it still fails .. contact Ubisoft support for your region
***one side note if your Direct X files say you only have Direct X 8 .. yes its time to format and reinstall windows ***
Yes SP1 is installed.
I used Microsofts official and another websites DirectX11 Download and both failed to install it.
I will try the DDU way you mentioned and install the drivers manually after from the support software folder.
if they are still in a PCI slot on the motherboard ... windows is gonna detect and try to use whats installed..thats just how windows works
it says in your steam system info
Number of Logical Video Cards: 2 < ----------------
it also shows your running your desktop in a non standard resolution that the game probably does not support
Desktop Resolution: 1920 x 2130 < -----------------
if direct X 11 will not install from the games support software folder your operating system is likely to be corrupted you can either reinstall win 7 clean or contact microsoft support and try to use the SFC scan now command to verify your system files
i just ran into a similar problem on my last win 7 system to get Primal working
if DX 11 setup is failing thats not a good sighn
i have only 1 desktop with Win 7 on it the rest are all win 10 machines now
on that WIN 7 machine with the new far cry game i was getting crashes i contacted AMD they said remove the vid driver completely
reboot
install the vid driver clean and re run DX setup .. i did and now the game works fine ..so does FarCry 4
on that win 7 system i did install several different graphic cards over the past few months
an HD 7750 \ and an HD 5770 \ and my R 9 270 X card .. i had to wipe out all that with DDU in win 7 safe mode ..then reinstall the vid driver clean with just one GPU installed , then re run DX setup
if you still have problems contact Ubi Support for your region
go here for international support options and hours of operation @ https://support.ubi.com/en-US/FAQ/60/3888/international-support-contacts/kA030000000eiChCAI
it's a hell of alot faster then an R 9 270 X or a GTX 660 you just need to get the right adatper for the vid card i think the nano only has HDMI and display port connections on it .. you need to find the right Adapter so you can connect that to your screen or screens
i pulled my 270 X card out of my main machine as it could not play FarCry 4 with any Decent FPS and installed a better card .. my ASUS Strix GTX 960 runs the game way better then my factory overclocked ASUS R 9 270 X did
your nano should be better then a 270X card
according to this page the nano = 91% faster then a 270 X
http://www.game-debate.com/gpu/index.php?gid=3081&gid2=1863&compare=radeon-r9-nano-4gb-vs-radeon-r9-270x
the adapter you need to use the NANO looks like these
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815158150
go for the display port one for the best compatability or the HMDI to VGA one or if your monitor cable has DVI you need that one .. dunno as you never mentioned what type of connector your monitor cable has..you need to buy the right ones that support your monitor and the resolutions your gonna use ..in yeas past ATI \ AMD used to include the adapters with a vid card ..but even with my ASUS r 9 270 X they gave me no adapters with the card .. i had to buy one so i could connect it to my older screen that only has a VGA connection
so i bought a cheap dvi to VGA adapter
both my HD5770 and the 7750 came with the adapters to go to HDMI or VGA to DVI (the 7750 even came with a mini display port adapter and an HDMI one )
if ya ask me they should include display port adapters for all cards that have a display port option .. but alot of the times they do not include those
Anyways I really do only ahve 1 Graphiks card plugged in into my Mainboard, the 660 is laying beneath me on the Table and the Nano is in a friedns PC for the time untill the cable arrives.
I´ll let you know if the DX update worked later today, thanks for the help so far.
i think they can afford to give out a set of adapters for the price they charge for those NANO cards ..i wanted to buy one of those nano cards too .. but i'm happy with My strix GTX 960 for the $200 i spent on it and thought the nano was priced to high
like i said in the old days ATI always included all the adapters with their GPU's
i used to have a box full of them ..still do, i just cant find it ... so i had to buy the DVI to VGA one i used on the 270X since the cheap pricks didnt include one with the card ..that adapter only cost me like $4 but still the card should come with one .. if sapphire can include all the ones they gave me with the HD 7750 which was a cheap $100 card , they should include them for the more expensive cards too
Anyways, your tipps worked fine. I coul´d play the game with the 270X after I wiped out all the divers with the DDU Tool which is awesome I should mention. THe problem apparently was that the Nvidia sofware still told the PC that the 60 was still plugged in which wasn´t the case... stuipd Nvidia software.
However today I tried out the same with the Nano without removing any drivers first and FC4 crashed instantly again. I wiped out all of the AMD Drivers and the game Launched but as soon as it switched to the fullscreen application it crashed again.
A friend of mine borrowed me a USB3.0 to VGA adapter to make my other monitor working and together with the 270X it worked pretty much without problems but as soon as I switched to the Nano it didn´t work anymore. Strange little things... It eve made my whole PC crash completely. I couldn´t turn it off by pressing the Power switch for 10 seconds I had to use the power switch.
Would be awesome if you coul´d help me again. These are the settings I tried running FC4 under:
