Suddenly, very long load times?
I have a 500GB SSD drive and, until yesterday, loading up a saved game took a few seconds. Suddenly, it's taking upwards of a minute, maybe more. I haven't changed anything with my system or its settings.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix?

Thanks!

It happens from time to time, but it could be any number of things that cause it.
First thing I would recommend if you haven't already done so, is turn off the cloud save option in Uplay and try it again, and never turn it back on again unless you want even more problems...

I run the game on a 2TB SSHD thats only 200MB/s read time and it takes around the same time to load (a minute) it should be much faster on your SSD

Im the same SSD, takes about 30-40 secs

Initial load is usually pretty long (not sure how long but around 20 seconds seems right). After that typically it's within a few seconds. Every now and then it'll liike hang up though and take around the 20 second mark again though.
I've also noticed with Coop it's usually ALOT longer, not sure if it depends on the slowest person load times or what, but they're never fast.

Yes same here, 512GB Samsung SSD, load times were only a few seconds, now the load bar gets to just over 3/4s and sits there for 30secs or so.

Noticed this during a session where i restarted an outpost mission. Prior to restarting this mission, i was roaming for sometime so i'm guessing at a certain point of the game (roughly 50% overall progress) this happened.

The only game setting i changed (nothing in operating system) before noticing longer loading was the AlphaToCoverage value i set to 0. Getting into game afterwards was fine until i noticed. Changed the value back to 1 just in case and no change. Was probably just a coincidence.

Might be able to find out if start a new save, but not sure if it will wipe out my current game.

I haven't had problems yet with Uplay's cloud save, i did get the game late on sale so the problems were probably fixed. I did try disable cloud anyway to see as mentioned above but didn't help.

It doesn't bother me really, whats 30secs lol but wanted to support the original poster.

Same here, after 5-6 hours of gameplay, it loads fast the first 4/5 of the loading bar, then just drop the speed. It takes like 1 min to load. I just did de first HImalaya's mission, the one from Longinus, then saved the game.

On a Samsung EVO 850 SSD.
