Yea that, can't get the app.
I think for clarification sake you need to explain what exactly happened, because earlier you were implying there was a bug that kept you from beating the bird.
You said you sent the tiger AND shot it in the mouth 3 times after it fell and it didn't die. So this obviously now looks false. I assume you THINK you'd shot it in the mouth perhaps, but didn't?
It's easy to tell if you get your shot in his mouth when he's on the ground, because sparks will come out of it when you do.
Before, when I couldn't progress, I tried the simple stuff: Restarted the mission, exited the game, exited Uplay, restarted my system, etc. Every time I attempted that level, the bird would fly around a bit, summon in its little archer minions, then it would hover and open its mouth and I would shoot it. It would then fly to another spot and open its mouth again, and I'd shoot it again. I would do that three times and it would fall to the ground. I would send my tiger in and it jumped in the bird's mouth, then when it opened up and starting screaming, I'd shoot it in the mouth and I would get the expected reaction of it roaring in distress and spitting the tiger out. The first time I knocked it to the ground, then sent the tiger in, the bird appeared a bit damaged. The second time I knocked it down to the ground did that sequence again, the bird looked "cracked" and the insides were glowing red through the cracks, as expected. It was the NEXT time, which is the 3rd knockdown, and every time after that, that the bird's appearance didn't change. He stayed cracked and glowing red like that, but he would just get up and fly off again, summoning the archer-warriors again, and eventually (usually on the 4th go-around) he'd start summoning those fire breathing heavies that are a pain to take down and do a ton of damage to you. This would go on for about 5 or 6 cycles of me going through the 3 mouth hits, then sending the tiger in, and the battlefield would be swarming with archer-warriors (dozen or more) and at leat 5 or 6 heavies before I'd get overwhelmed. Never made it past 6 cycles of that....
The last time I tried it, I didn't die once and the bird went through 3 cycles (just like in all the internet vids I had seen) of me hitting the bird in the mouth 3 times, then it falling to the ground and me sending the tiger in each time and then shooting it again in the mouth. 3 cycles is all it took, with the bird showing a little bit of damage after the first cycles, then it looked cracked and glowing red, then after the 3rd cycle, the tiger jumps in its mouth and it roars in pain and the cutscene starts, indicating success.
The thing that had changed between the previous two dozen attempts was....I verified my game files through Uplay, and I tried to launch the game with Uplay already open and it went through the game update process. I think it was a glitch that got fixed when I updated the game.
And your welcome findioth8r, hope it helps.
Great! Knew you could do it. I think it;'s safe to say if I can do it with 57 yr old fingers and eyes, most anyone can. LOL
