I had to run a cheat engine file to get rid of the black bars/ letterbox on what is basically farcry 3.5, Also because of a memory leak I have to restart after every death to keep the game running smoothly. I'm waiting on a refund from steam. Ubisoft is either the worst at porting or they have no idea wtf there doing. This is nothing compared to watch dogs or assassins unplayability but it is still up there w ubisofts BS.

no i am taking sence if you have a strange a problem with your GFX its not uop to the dev team to fix it its always up to how you run the game and what hardware you choose to use

how the hell can they test a game with every system config out ..its impossible how do i know this ?...no i do not work for UBI have i worked in the games industry yes do you even know how many ways a system can be built displayed and configured ? can ya take a guess ? say on an old title like hmm DOOM or say serios sam ..or perhhaps go back as far as command an conquer ..please by all means get back to me with those numbers

same here panda since nov 18th game ran and still runs perfect ..as i expected other trhen the mem leak in 1.5 which i was able to work around

again this is FAR CRY 4 not the other games ..not on your crappy system there are yes sorry to tell you many people that play the game with no issiues

Got the game and runs over 60FPS on 720p high graphics settings.
No problems with the game so far.

He specifically talked about black bars because the game only supports 16:9 aspect ratio (and 21:9 without fov, sigh, after latest patch).
Who the hell cares if it is running good on your system? That's not the issue he is talking about!

I'm playing it on a 24" 16:10 monitor @ 1920x1200 with the aspect ratio in the options set at 16:10, and yeah, I have the black bars at top and bottom. They're each about an inch in width.

I rarely even notice them anymore or think about them until I read a post from someone here who brings it up.

It would be great if we could have a true full screen 16:10, but we don't. That is cause to be irritated, I suppose, although it doesn't really bother me... certainly not enough to go on a forum and throw a fit about it.

A cause for concern for me would be my heath and auto insurance rates going up more.

This is a video game, and not just that, but an extremely complex piece of software, the very nature of which practically ensures it can never be done 'correctly' for everyone.

And it's not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ port either. I really don't know what some people expect. I mean, sure, there are a few things that aren't perfect, but the things that are just fine and really good outweigh those negative aspects by a huge margin.

The degree of pettiness in this forum is mind-boggling.

It sounds like you are playing in a resolution your display does not support have you tried changing resolution in video options? P.S. This is not a "port" as it was out on Day 1 along with all the other platforms.

You probably have letterboxing because the standard visual coding for games nowadays are in widescreen only. So the letterboxing that only some people have probably derives from a nonstandard monitor that isn't widescreen or an offbrand monitor that is a weird ass resolution (Like my friend has a 1600 X 933 Monitor)

Also it's not a port, as the guy above me stated. All games are developed on PC first, then ported to Consoles, then ported back at a later date if the company staggers the PC releases.
Since Ubi didn't stagger PC Releases they never had to double port the code for PC, so you and I are getting the purest version of it.

And if it wasn't clear, the dev team had to work on the game in 3 different coding frameworks for all consoles, you can forgive them if they leave small bugs in the game because they essentially made 3 different games. That being said they should have delayed the launch a bit to work them out.
