"destroy wolve's den" impossible?

i had to quit the game after trying the mission for 5 times.
I died at the same place; destroying the den by kicking the wooden support and i don't get out of the den quick enough and get killed.
How do you guys do it?

What makes it worse is that checkpoint is before killing wolves so i have to repeat really boring part of killing wolves.

Compare to other auto save games, FC4 doesn't do checkpoint frequent enough....

If I remember it correctly there is an explosive barrel in the cave you can shoot.

Pretty sure you're not supposed to kick the supports out. There is an explosve barrel slightly inside the mouth of the cave, you shoot it with an arrow and it explodes.

haha yeah I never even thought to kick the support beams of the cave I'm standing in, woulda been pretty funny to die that way. I died shooting the barrel inside the cave a little to close to the entrance.

If I remember correctly, there's also a molotov sitting around inside the cave, just in case you wasted your fire arrow while fumbling around with the controls (which I did :[)

i shot the barrel with a regular arrow and it esploded

thanks for replies. i can shoot the barrel with normal arrows and it exploded just fine. :)

Omg...this thread made me laugh so hard! Yea as mentioned, shoot the barrel witha arrow, or shoot the post witha explosive arrow. You might can even shoot the post witha normal arrow i'm not sure.

I kicked the post then ran out no problems...first shot (i am awesome btw)

If you play this mission right, you can upgrade your holster to the max (that's why it's near the start of the game).

Kill the first wolf on the way to the look out, kill the second two outside the den, go INTO the den, kill the third wolf, get out and then destroy the den by shooting the barrel.

Done.

You now can carry the max amount of weapons with just one quest.

I think there are even one, or two dead wolves outside the den you can skin, too.

If not, at least one wolf crosses your path when you are heading back to the old woman's place where Amita and Badrah meet you.

Also, you can do this quest with the Recurve Bow and not the crappy starter bow Amita gives you. Makes the job 10x easier with Marksman, or Red Dot (Range) sight attached. Just go back into your room in Banapur, and switch out the wooden bow for the Recurve and contine the quest...
