Far cry 4 how to coop Steam/Uplay

Hi , my friend and me would like to play the coop mod with Far cry 4
I got Far cry 4 on Uplay
And my friend got far cry 4 on Steam
So how can we play together ?
Can i add him at friend by Uplay to steam ?

Before you can do coop you have to get through the prologue. It's just a short few missions to introdue you to the game and then it should inform you that you can now coop.

Once past that point, you will (if you are not already in an online session) proceed to save and go to main menu where you will select 'Continue [online]' and that will create an online session for you.

Once you are in-game you will open up a particular radial menu by pressing and holding 'V' - once this menu is open you will see an 'invite friends' option at the top of the radial menu. High that option by moving your mouse up and once highlighted you can let go of 'V' and it will select the highlighted option.

After you select 'invite friends' it will open up a menu that will show you a list of uplay friends and you should be able to invite your friend.

Inviting them from this menu will not actually send an invite, but instead will open your uplay overlay and then allow you to invite them from there. You will go to the drop down menu next to their name in your friends list and then select 'invite to game'

It seems repetitive and redundant because it is. Get on the strange train, this is uplay we're talking about.

Hopefully that works for you.

PS - be sure you are not recording/streaming with any program that requires you to hook in to the process as this may sometimes break the uplay overlay and if the overlay is broken this will not work. I know OBS (streaming/recording software) has that issue on many (if not all) uplay games.

Littledubdub, I have steam FC4, my friend has uplay FC4, would I need to create a Uplay account for her to find me through the method you mentioned?

yes , you can play with steam and uplay because FC4 need uplay to work , so if Uplay and steam servers are same you can coop

yes as long as you both have the same version of the game
same mods if any installed
have completed act one of the SP game
and have added each other as Uplay freinds in the uplay client .. all MP is done via Uplay anyway

see also this site to see whats available in FC 4 co op .. sadly no you can not play the main game missions co op ..just side missions and this page has errors .. the syringe mission = single player only i belive
