how to climb a rope with a keyboard

can any one please tell me how to climb a rope with a keyboard i cant find it
holding to rope is no problem but how to climb

left click is default to climb rope once attached.... E to throw grappling hook....
maybe you have accidentally changed the mouse click binding ???

Portuguese (Brazil): Tenho Far Cry 4 edição Gold, consegui solucionar. Eu configuro os botões do teclado para jogar. Eu tive este problema, ao subir a corda na 1ª montanha os botôes do mouse não funcionaram. Após pesquisar consegui solucionar o problema. Primeiro apaguei a pasta "Far Cry 4" em \Documents\My Games\ ou Documentos\My Games\. Em seguida configurei novamente os botões do teclado de forma especial, para cada tecla eu configurava uma tecla que não era utilizada no jogo. Conforme as teclas ficavam sem configuração no jogo eu novamente as configurava da maneira que eu desejava. Desta maneira não deu problema no mouse ao subir a corda na 1ª montanha.

Are you holding LMB, or just tapping it?

have you tried to verify your game files in Steam ?

To verify your files if you bought the game thru Steam

go to your Steam games library

right clik on far cry 4

select properties

select local files

select verify Integrity of game cache

it takes a few min to do but its faster the redownloading your entire game , if its only a few files that were corrupt or installed incorrectly ...

Verified and still have the same bug. Many people have this issue;. Resetting controls to default does Not work. The only solution I have found is to plug in xbox controller and use that for the climbing sections- the shoot button on xbox is climb but LMB is not working as it should be . Game breaking issue as much of the campaign levels involve a rope climb

Sometimes fiddling with the Game Pad settings, even if you don't use a Game Pad will screw up the keyboard. So go in the Game Pad settings and set them all to default. And see what that does.

Obviously the "experts" don't solve the problem asked! I'm having the same problem! When the person throws the rope the answer is shown but, it only lasts a few seconds.

uplugged all your controllers then set program to default keys and settings ?

in both the keyboard and mouse settings in the game ? as well as the gamepad section ?

and verified whats connected in joy.cpl yet ?

searched your system for other HID devices other then your Keyboard and mouse ?

checked in control for any virtual game controllers ?

checked and verified that some old controller driver is NOT auto loading with windows start up ?

right clik on the little icon on the right side of your screen and close anything you dont need loaded to play your game ?

what mouse are you useing ? ..did you install updated drivers for it ?

mine is a logitech G400S wired gameing mouse with the latest driver

works fine i can even customize my buttons ....

tried the game with just Keyboard and mouse yet ?

most of the issiues with game controllers that i have heard about involve an X box game pad .. umm try not to use one ?

for some people they work .............for others they dont ............

get a cheap logitech f 310 for $25

i did not even need to install any driver for it ..win 7 64 bit detected it as soon as i plugged it in ......no driver needed

that i keep plugged in...... and works fine for the wingsuit missions

Cara eu não consigo arrumar... séra que teria como vc me add no skype ou alguma coisa do genero pra me ajudar? desde ja obg

I think my controls are all defaults. I throw the rope with E. Then when it attaches, I use LMB to climb, RMB to decend, and Left CTRL to let go. WS or AD to swing around. For what it's worth, I have an XBOX 360 controller plugged into my PC too and I use the keyboard and mouse to play. I can't remember if I had to set it to use the keyboard and mouse in the settings or not.

Do you have a joystick plugged in? Some other posters on the web are saying that they had this problem and had some kind of joystick that when they unplugged it the game worked as it should.
