It's currently not possible to play with a controller on some setups without it scripting errors that you are seeing.
This version doesn't phone home to China and send God knows what back to whomever. That's why BDS3 was developed based on the core from the original.
Also, I use a wired XB1 controller on Windows 8.1, and I have no problems with the game in the sense all the cutscenes and scripted in-game events happen as they are supposed to. I read that there may be instances where the controller prevents scripts from running, but I have not encountered that, luckily.
It is broken for a good few of us, you take your chances really, nobody can say if it will work or not - could be dependent on what version of Windows/If you have a fake dongle ect...
Thanks for that - I do hate it when Motion joy launches its web page as soon as you load it but there are not many decent controller configurators out there and this one works very well but will use better ds3 from now on!
As for the game being "broken" when using a controller I would say its not completely broken as you can progress if you come out of the game and go back in well it works for me any way - I think Ubi just need to concentrate on getting all the bugs out then it will be an awesome game!
Has anyone had any progression issues with just using keyboard & mouse?
