Stuck on loading screen after final Shangri-La mission.

Has anyone else had this issue and / or found a possible work around? After beating the boss in the final Shangri-La mission the loading bar crawls to 100% and then just hangs.
Same issue before and after todays update. I'm stuck replaying this mission over and over. The game has ran flawlessly up to this point.

Found a fix. Dropping everything to low allowed me to continue.

I have the exact same problem here. The game has ran flawlessly up to this point. I will try your fix to drop all the graphic settings to low (what a shame) and then update if it worked or not.

I can now confirm that it worked for me too. For whatever reason, this particular loading cannot handle the graphic settings recommended by nvidia.

I can confirm that I had the same issue and dropping the graphics settings to low fixed the problem. HATE THAT MISSION.

I had a loading problem for a while, I turned off msi afterburner, after that it worked, with
settings on high for me.

I have also experienced the lock-up after the last shangri-la mission, upon killing the boss. I will try it again at lower graphics settings and report back

I had the same lock-up issue at the loading screen after defeating the Shangri-La boss using the Nvidia optimum settings. Setting all the graphics settings to low also worked for me.

Hi, is there still no found solution to this problem ? I've tried the low settings, but didn't help, checked the game file cathe, didn't help. Using UPlay only. Next I'm gonna drop off that MSI Afterburner and even try with removing game settings-files, to let UPlay download default ones.

I too had this issus, it scandalous! That specifik fight is pure and utter ♥♥♥♥. old time "bosses" are NOT cool. To make matters worse getting a fatal bug right after is spitting the custemers in the face! THIS IS A YEAR after release that matter should have been patched by now!

Just ran into this myself last night... took me several tries to finally finish the mission and the loading screen just slowly crawled to 100%, but never continued after waiting 30min... I'm not sure I want to try again just to see if it works on low graphics. (And if my specs aren't enough, I don't know what would be) After this long without a fix, I'm guessing they're just not going to bother patching it?

Thanks gharp for commenting on this and reviving an old post. This is the last mission left in the game before I move on to Valley of the Yetis, and given your specs and the fact that you posted it today...... I just avoided a landmine that would have been disappointing.
I do agree with [VOD]Seaplace - it really isn't a very good mission - kind of cheesy. The FC games are great though, I've always enjoyed them, bugs or not...

Dropped my settings to low (sigh), and tried again... after dying about a dozen times, I finally dropped the difficulty to easy (gfx still on low), just to get through the damn mission and get it over with.

The loading screen has been at 100% and spinning for 30min now, and I'm sitting here playing games on my phone waiting (hoping?) for it to finish... For ♥♥♥♥♥ sake, please don't make me play through this again!

I think I'm going to let this damn thing run overnight and see if it ever returns... Either I'll wake up and it'll have moved on, I'll miss some cutscene, and be annoyed... or it'll still be loading, and I'll have to find a restore point before starting this mission and just give up.
