xbox wireless controller not working ?

my wireless xbox controller is not working at all with this game ? works fine with far cry 3 ? button icons display in game but pressing any button or movement has no affect ? switching between games eg, far cry 3 wolfenstien, i have no problems with my controler, checked all drivers are up to date and all is ok ? WTF

I have this exact issue! I thought I was alone in this. I've tried unplugging every USB device but my MS wireless adapter and even reinstalled the drivers for it. I have another idea I'll try later, but in the meantime: Do you happen to use Logitech Setpoint? I remember another game having some issues with Setpoint, so when I get home I will try disabling the setpoint processes. Other than that I've nearly given up on this game. I can't believe in 2014 a company can't get controller support working. A company that has released countless other titles with said support in them.

yo, got it sussed. if i use my wired xbox controller bingo.. so nogo on the wireless controler for now. hope they sort there ♥♥♥♥ out. grab a wired controler to play this one

try another controller if you have any, unpair and pair your controller to your 360 wireless adapter... but I don't know why your controller works with other games and not FC4...

cheers man have tried all that, yhea has got me stuffed aswell, both wireless and wired genuine microsoft controlers not working farcry4 but every thing else? must be somthig simple and stupid.

I have a wired one and it's not working...it works first time on every other game including FC3. I tried my wireless one (original Xbox controller) with original MS dongle, still no luck.

I remember people all over the official Ubisoft forum having problems when the game came out and I have never been able to make either one of my controller work with the game WHEN my G27 wheel from Logirtech is plugged in. If I disable the G27 in device manager, both Xbox controller work fine with FC4 but as soon as i plug my G27, I can't even acess anything in the menu with both controllers.

After searching the entire internet, I found a solution to this problem.

the above works for me too, thank you agentx. you are the man i can now play with controller. UBI need to get ♥♥♥♥ together.

Doesn't work for me as there is only one xbox controller showing in device manager. If I want to play with the xbox controller I have to disable my G27 wheel.

i had to disable first HID on list and razor nostramo, BAM it works
