No kidding! Isn't the only thing that matters is how much one enjoys playing it? Why should I care what anybody else thinks?
Well, Played farcry 1 in my younger days. But when the second game came out it blasted your argument pretty bad... Just saying... :(
And for you others fanboys who hate me because MY opinion?? I didn't say that everybody need to have the same opinion as me. So stop criticizing me and have an argument like an adult. I said that the game was to familiar as the one before. As I said, same sounds and everything. Therefore the game is not that fun! As TURI said:
"the bad part was the price of a game you payed to replay.
done the game, the missions even felt the same, the drug field? running and shooting the scientist on drugs (did it in far cry 3 with the main villian), the betray your "friend"
It's sad that ubisoft can make pretty much the same game and get so much money out of it...
They assumed the problem would be fixed by using a colored main character instead of a white one. They can't even understand that the problem is having a foreign character save the day. If you go the Dances With Wolves route, at least try to show the good and the bad in this culture.
I guess exploiting topless girls is progressive and empowering to women. As always, they barely spend time making their characters interesting ( though their design and voice acting is really good ). They pretend they want to give you a cinematic experience, but except for crappy framerates, Ubisoft doesn't know how to create three dimensional characters.
I can't forget the use of drugs as a cheap mission design gimmick ( I hoped I could shoot those two stoners at one point ), to avoid real story telling ( like some cheap Deux Ex Machina ). Furthermore, the Shangri-La missions were running like total crap compared to the game.
The vilain is barely used, and even if Troy Baker is doing a great job as usual, their excuse to justify some binary choices are ridiculous. like the end with Pagan Min telling you you can either shoot him or bury your mom with him... after all that happened... seriously guys? that's one big suspension of disbelief here...
And of course, it is the usual Ubisoft rince and repeat, copy pasted missions until you drown in their unimaginative boring game design.
Is it bad? Not really though, since it has the Far Cry fun that makes you come back to it but there is a huge difference between a title you have fun with and a fun experience you endure because of lazy game design and mission design...
Nota Bene: the fact the game was plagued with SLI issues, stuttering, graphics issues ( even on a single card ) didn't help. It can be gorgeous but of course, looks nothing like the bullshots shown on Steam. And, the fact Ubisoft used a launch trailer in first person using global illumination to simulate gameplay is another way to lie to customers ( I'm sure a couple of them fell for it assuming it was gameplay ).
Hahaha lol, its been 7 years now and ubisoft are still doing their copy/paste ♥♥♥♥, with all their IPs: farcry. AC, Watchdogs. Ubisoft is never gonna change, and neither is their games
Well we are buying em so , it is partly our fault.
Same game every 3 years, playing the same game from the same company, expecting any chnages,
the definition of insanity.
Btw got it for free not so long ago
