I don't know, and I'm not going to check back to this thread for replies since I don't want to accidentally read any spoilers anyone might post, but the game hints do tell you that your decisions lead to different missions. Whether that means a different outcome or not, I have no idea.
As for myself, I'm doing what I personally think is 'right' each time, and after I finish the game I'm gonna replay it and do the opposite each time...
The info did save lives...
Yea, but she does not know wether the info will save more lives or not, for all we know it could just be info for a supply run or where they are stashing things. it just turned out that some info saved lives. Where as Saabal would rather save lives rather then sacrifice them for info that may or may not save other lives. But whatever lol guess we can interpret however we want.
Sabal wants to maintain the status quo (Minus the random executions and more-or-less psychotic leadership) as well as support religious and cultural practices that Amita (and likely others in Kyrat) consider extreme.
Personally? I went with Amita. While it IS true you lost men (a whopping 9 soldiers, ooh) at the first choice point, (spoiler) The intelligence saves an entire temple full of civilians, an arms cache and religious sites in the following mission however. Amita's goals all seem to focus on long term. Even Amita admits she isn't proud of 1-2 of the things she requests, but they're (I would imagine) temporary boosters. A way to get education and healthcare (as well as food) purchased for the people (her own examples in fact).
While I admit to wanting to try Sabal's side of it all, I'm going to finish the game with her first and see things from her perspective.
Unless you listen to Min, then shoot his chopper down...or not (he's leaving you in control anyway). Even if you help Sab or Am take over, you can promptly blow them away and consider the country truly free.
Amita's like a militant version of Anita Sarkeesian. ♥♥♥♥ that ♥♥♥♥♥.
