Still don't know how to fix the postfxquality cararact vision bug when using the mortar other then setting postfxquality to "false" in your gamer user file for far cry 4 under "my games" in the documents section.
Woo, this fixes it in a jiffy. Thanks!
In game graphics, Then, simply quit and reload the game then alternate your serttings back to your original values.
Make sure to run the game first on the crappy defaults first before exiting.
Well, that's exactly the problem... I want Soft Shadows. Makes the game look a lot better.
It was working before, why they screwed it up with the new patches is beyond me.
Now soft shadows just look weird, not only the issue of the bug in discussion, but the whole thing... It's not at all like it was before, so I switched shadows to "ULTRA" - right now it looks much more natural...
It's the fact that they screwed something that was working fine.
Did anyone see working soft shadows in the North before the patch???
I think you're on to something here... I spent 60 hours grinding away in the south without issues. As soon as I did the Key To The North mission, I saw the wacky shadows in the first cave I went into.
Fortunately, I remembered looking at the video someone posted. I went out, set the shadows to to the level below Ultra and everything is back to normal.
