Far Cry 4 - My Recommended Video Settings
These are my video recommendations for Far Cry 4 if you have an Nvidia card and an overall good, to decent, system. It is primarily from the perspective of getting the best visuals at the best frame rate. A balance. Where you might be having issues with certain settings, based on FC4's current video bugs, do what you need to do.

I researched quite a bit to compare the setting levels that either had an impact, or relatively no impact, to visual quality and FPS.

The left side is the range of recommended settings. Going either up or down outside this range of settings did not meet my criteria;
-Did it impact FPS over ~5 FPS, up or down?
-Did it make any significant change to graphic quality, good or bad?

The info in parenthesis is my recommended setting, and notes.

HBAO+ to SSAO (HBAO+) whatever works for you
2x TXAA to SMAA (SMAA) ??SMAA broken in SLI? Artifacts?
Environment: Ultra to High (doesn’t matter much)
Fur: On to Off (Off)
Geometry: Ultra to High (High)
Godrays: Nvidia to Off (Nvidia)
Post FX: Ultra to High (High) Bogs combat. Lower if combat lags.
Shadows: Nvidia to High (Nvidia)
Terrain: Ultra to High (Ultra or High, no lower)
Textures: Ultra (always Ultra, no lower than High)
Trees: On to Off (Off) barely adds anything to tree bark.
Vegetation: Ultra to High (High, doesn’t matter)
Water: Ultra to High (High)

Nice, I would also recommend using SSBC Ambient occlusion over anything else beacuse of this http://imgur.com/a/aLe1R#0 It's also faster

HBAO+ is more realistic though; as it adds those darker shaded areas even off in the distance; since Shadows don't draw that far of a distance. SSBC is good idea for an FPS gain, but it looks like crap.

TBO, everything in this game needs AA to look good below 1440p. However, I can tell it is because of the overall content quality that is there. Bumping up to around 1440p - 4K and no AA was required at all, everything is super fine and crystal clear. Obviously they made this game for higher resolutions for PC and it shows.
