No sound in cutscenes?
I don't know if this has been addressed or not, but for some reason I cannot hear anything for: Pre-rendered cutscenes, any of the main character's voices, title splashes (Excluding invidia splash), and sometimes even voices indoors. Is there a fix for this, or is this just on my end?

Im having this exact same issue. all other sound is working properly... is there a fix or should i just miss it and read the subtitles like im doing now?

Alright, I found a fix:
Right click on the sound level control and go to the Playback devices part. Click on that.
Now, you should have a window pop up showing all of your playback devices. Right click speakers, and then select Configure Speakers. From there, switch the configuration from Surround to Stereo. This should solve the problem, and will generally fix the same problem for other games.

could you please explain that again? I couldn't quite understand, what to do, but I think you might have the answer...

I'm having the exact issue and this hasn't sorted it for me, I haven't got any option for stereo, does this game really not support 7.1 surround sound?

Ok, so turns out the sound is perfectly fine if using my monitor, but if I used my headset (logitech g633) then I get that wierd selective hearing thing, no cutscenes, no spashscreens (except nvidia), but in game stuff like gunfire is just fine...drivers are all up to date

...It's much harder to fix this when the actual game keeps crashing whenever I alt-tab or switch sound device, this game is years old now you'd really expect it to be more stable, hufff
