Alternate Ending *SPOILERS*

It is funny cause at first, I actually waited for him to return 6-7 minutes but then I figured that it is just a game and that nothing will happen.


Then I heard someone saying about a fast ending and at some point I realised that the song that always played in the background actually was: "Should I stay or should I go?"
This is so freakin' awesome. But I realised it after finishing the game and causing a mayhem in Kyrat - you can simply wait for Pagan to return, give you his place and voila, same ending, no drama or bloodshed.

Anyway, do you guys know, if you take the alternate ending in which you simply wait for Pagan Min to return, are you afterwards able to just free roam?

What happens? Do you, like, have all weapons unlocked etc.?
Is the royal army hostile to you?


PS: I obviously let my stepdad live at the normal ending. Pagan Min is f*ing awesome and I'd choose to go with him if there was an actual story behind the decision to wait for him.

You get that ending played time and again. The kill Pagan or not end is not the same as the quick ending because you have control and full weapons access as Pagan's chopper is flying away.

There is no free roam after the quick end. You have no skills, just a repeat of the ending cutscene over and over again until you start a new game.

If you slog your way through the game, you get free roam and the goodies you built up. I don't think ubi are that generous.

i mean if when you kill amita or sabal and you get to pagan to kill him or spare him to join him, do you get free roam after that?

yes and you can then after doing everything in the game go in the settings and select reset all outposts ..this will re arm all out posts and forts so you can free roam all over the map and use different tactics or the same ones to re take the forts and outposts

plus really you can also start a new game and play the other side of the campaign

first run thru i chose sabal all the way

second one i chose Amita all the way

game had same ending first time i killed pagan second time i let him live but missions came differently and you have other cut scenes depending on your choices you make as you play the game

only thing i did not finish were all the Karati films raceing and 2 shangra la missions ..( i will finish those later )

and enjoying free roam now and retakeing my outposts and forts useing animals and stealth
or some just chargeing in on the back of an elephant is always fun as well :)

If I kill Pegan, I can freeroam with everything, not sure about the helicopter. Unlockables awarded?

If I let Pegan survive, he takes off with the helicopter but can I come back and freeroam or nah?

Ha! Nice to see this 2014 thread again xD

If you take the Alternative (fast) Ending and you wait for Pagan to return, you can't freeroam afterwards. You have to play the game the "normal" way.

The 'proper' ending - as opposed to the fast outlined above - is a simple choice. Your choice doesn't give you any bonuses.
