Game stuck at "logging in"
My game is stuck at the "logging in" screen. it's running, the music is playing. It just sits there endlessly.

I've tried the usual:
reboot
disabled my firewall
compatibility mode
run as admin
reinstall

Nothing..

I've crawled the internet looking for a fix and no one even seems to have this problem.

Any experts out there?

the same problem here, up for help
Enkidu Nov 29, 2014 @ 10:38am
Definitely let me know if you come accross a fix. I'll be sure to do the same. I do know that you can at least run the game by starting Uplay in offline mode.

My offline mode doesn't seem to autosave though. It's also gamebreakingly buggy.

Between this and Unity, I'm unlikely to ever buy an Ubisoft game again.

Yep, verified integrity, made sure all my ports were open, ran in all combination of admin/compatibility modes.

here is the thing there are several things in even a high end .cfg the game may not like
without posteing a full system .cfg how can we help or even try to help
it could be one little peice of software on your system does not play nice with far cry 4

like evga precision

or riva tyuner
or afterburner
or your antivirus

so that said

please do the following

up top in steam look for the help section

clik on that

then clik system information

let that load , only take a few seconds

once that loads with your system information

right clik on that

select all

then right clik agian select copy

then when you post back

right clik and select paste on your reply

*note if you have a dual core CPU there is nothing i can tell you to do that will help you must meet the minumum system requirements ..and these will include yes a quad core CPU as well as a fully functional Direct X 11 video card that supports shader model 5.0 and exceeds either a Nvidia GTX 460 or an AMD 5850 in pixel and vertex shader count as well as a 64 bit operating system *

Reinstall Uplay client?
Riva tuner or similar running in background?
-=SOF=-WID99 Mar 1, 2015 @ 7:27am
the other thing to make sure of too is that your ISP /network admin has the ports open /available for you to play the game normally and connect to the u play servers

I've disabled my firewall, and antivirus. killed any GPU monitor/overclock processes. If I launch in offline mode, I can get it to work, but it doesn't seem to save, and certain events don't trigger.

Maybe I'll try to reinstall frameworks.

I have a pretty big library of ubisoft games, all run without a problem, including the online features.

The program doesn't crash, it's just not able to log in.

the thing with the evernt trigger usualy only happened when useing an X box controller
and unplugging it and useing KB + mouse only fixes it i do not see anything in your .cfg file
that i know of that blocks ports , but that sounds like the issiue , why your other UBI games are not affected i dunno

unless your ISP or router need one more port open thats specific to FC4 ?

Far Cry 4 Ports

TCP: 80, 443
UDP: 9000, 21120

Uplay Launcher

TCP: 80, 443, 13000, 14000, 14008

dunno man .. wish you luck fixing it
Akunamatata Mar 1, 2015 @ 8:20am
Again, if I remember correctly, I think I saw a similar issue that was fixed by reinstalliing of Uplay client...
-=SOF=-WID99 Mar 1, 2015 @ 8:23am
yea it may be tied to that bad update version a few weeks back

you could try following the steps here and see if you can get the u play client to update normally ..

Enkidu Mar 1, 2015 @ 8:23am
Yep, ports are all open for both FC4 and Uplay. Looks like I'll have to open a ticket with Ubisoft and my ISP if I want to really try and fix it.

Thanks anyway, Ubisoft really let me down with their games last year.
LeadStarDude Mar 1, 2015 @ 8:48am
Most likely Uplay is having server issues again. Here is an easy way to get around that.

Launch Uplay on it's own first. It will fail to login & ask if you want to launch in Offline mode, or it will go ahead & load up in Offline mode on it's own. Once Uplay is open in offline mode go ahead & launch the game from Steam while still already having Uplay opened in Offline mode. The game will boot up & let you play single player only. Good luck
margalus Mar 1, 2015 @ 11:52am
like the above poster said, start up Uplay, then put it in offline mode, then start the game up and start the campaign in offline mode and see what happens.
