What games have what you consider current or next gen graphics? In your games list, your most played games don't even come close to this.

Playing it on Ultra and the game is amazingly beautiful in places. Seriously. You could walk around just taking pictures all day. It's that great looking.

Game is definitely far from being insanely beautiful as "gameplay" trailers showed it. Textures are mostly blurry. Great ones are on characters faces during in-engine cutscenes, character hands and few other places. But mountain walls textures look low poly plastic, ground is pretty low, grass looks like it has no AF and practically no AA no matter what the settings are. I've fired up FC3 and while it less populated with stuff it looks much more polished and sharp.

At first I thought it's a driver problem, etc. but forums, YouTube is full of dissapointed fans. Some people find it gorgeous, yes. But models look dated comparing to Crysis 3, Ryse, Arkham Origins and BF4.

I really envy you guys who accept FC4's visuals for what they are. Blindness is a bliss :)

Not sure what settings you're using, but using the NVIDIA preset looks great.

What are your specs? I run on ultra with a 780 and my game is beautiful. I was left wondering if I was watching an intro video or in game cinimatics and everything stayed just as wonderful further on in the game. The other games you have listed look great too, but on my screen, FC4 is steps ahead.

Of course YouTube is full of disappointed fans. It's what YouTube is for. People who are enjoying their games are not watching YouTube videos or whining about ethics in game journalism. They're playing their games.

If you based your understanding of the world on what YouTube is full of, you would have a very sad and mistaken view of the world.

I want to support your opinion. It's really looks dated overall - I though this will be next step as per trailers but it's FC3 with some improvements (cosmetic). Overall it's same already dated visuals. Crysis 3 BF4 had wow effect - FC4 is just blurry mess

I would not base my understanding on YouTube as you wouldn't base your understanding of what's in my head, what I think and how I perceive things. This game's visuals in particular. My reference to YouTube is just a reflection of my dissapointment and YouTube was the first search hit on "Far Cry 4 blurry textures" when I went looking for issue solution. That's all :)

My specs: i5 3570K, GTX670SLI, 16GB RAM, SSD.
Don't get me wrong. Frame rates are good. Everything is on ultra. Godrays are on ENHANCED, Soft Shadows. All the best settings. Visuals are just inconsistent. SLI issues like black screen don't really concern me - such things get fixed sooner or later. But I have a feeling that even though game was developed on PC, port is pretty poor and understatement of what PC version should've been. Take Ryse for example. It's insanely beautiful. Gameplay is boring, but what a view

Turn off blur LOL. No blur here and who looks at grass anyway? I'm too busy keeping eagles off my face and watching for Pagan's soldiers to spend much time admiring the scenery. My rig is too old to run it on Ultra but it still looks great.
