Far Cry 4 Crashing at Press Any Key Screen

Just as the title says, the game crashes at the Press Any Key screen. Its fine at the screen until you actually press any key. Then it black screens, and you have to ctrl, alt, del out of it, where it then says the program is not responding.

System Specs:
AMD FX-8350 OC'ed at 4.7Ghz
EVGA GTX 770 2GB
500GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD
Sabertooth R2.0 Motherboard
Windows 7 OS

Reinstalling fixed that for me. Others turned off MSI Afterburner or PrecisionX to make it work.

Precision x was the culprit for me, I installed newer version of x V.5.2.5 and precision is working and not crashing farcry 4 anymore
at least for me and I did a clean upgrade of x

In my case, problem has been solved by closing PlayClaw. This is program for monitor FPS, GPU/CPU Usage and more. Try check what all unnecessary programs/utilites are closed.

It seems that any monitoring software seems to interfere with the game for some reason.

please do the following

up top in steam look for the help section

clik on that

then clik system information

let that load , only take a few seconds

once that loads with your system information

right clik on that

select all

then right clik agian select copy

then when you post back

right clik and select paste on your reply

if this is not a laptop and you do get a better vid card with the required amont of Vram

you will need to exit that for the game to launch properly if you have it running


but untill you get a better vid adapter with at least 1 gig of ram .. no the game most liklely will not work as you are below the minumum specifications the game requires

Well here's the thing: the game was working just FINE for 5 hours. Great frames, no fps drops or anything. And now I can't start the game. I know my PC is ♥♥♥♥ but that has nothing to do with it.
