Playing without internet

Hey guys, am i able to play at release without internet connection?
i am soldier and im not at home but i got my notebook with me and preloaded it already

You'll need a one time verification on steam and register it on Uplay once the game is released, after that you can play it without internet. So try to get internet for like 5 min and it will work.

do you know whats up with the day one patch? do i need to download it on release or did it already downloaded itself with the preload?

I am not sure about that, I think the patch will be released monday.

You will have to make a uplay account if you don't have one, and then you can login to uplay online once, and from then on you can play offline with an option in Uplay.
