Since the new patch I have nothing but problems. I have the oft-mentioned black screen issue, as well as now, being unable to continue an OFFLINE campaign, as the game falls all over itself saying it cannot connect to an ONLINE session. GG Ubisoft, Try shipping complete products.

Irrespective of whether it was just DLC or not, it obviously changed file(s) that have affected the game for some users. On one of the other threads, it suggested deleting the "Far Cry 4" folder from "My Documents" and then re-verifying your game cache, and that fixed the problem in at least one case.

OP You might want to delete your config files located in My Documents or even the Far Cry 4 folder itself in this location.
Maybe the update corrupted them just like it did for the OP on the other thread, although in his case it seemed it was only a display problem, the issue was different.

There's something going on with that DLC - I suspect related to the issues with it not being included in (some? all?) people's Season Passes. You can't buy it, it's as if Steam blocked the purchase. Something is seriously bugged, and thus the current issues.

Try loading up the game with your controller unplugged first, then when the game is started, plug it in.

amd made sure you have no other softwware loading up that could confict with the title launching like deamon tools ?

the reason i ask about your bios settings is this post that was put on the UBI forums

where the user also had an AMD cpu but for some odd reason he was also getting black screens till he checked his bios settings and enabled all of his cores

then his game launched normally

According to my settings all CPUs are active and on. Tried launching the game with no other software (save drivers), still black screened.

Just really frustrating, like both major Ubi games from last year are borked.

Yeah, i'm having similar issues with getting the message: "far cry 4 cannot connect to game session please try again later" when I try and join coop matchmaking. However if I just play single player online it works fine. Not sure what the deal is but it's sure annoying.
