Crashing

Anyone else having just random crashing moments? like im right after the part where it gives you the whole thing on co-op and it keeps just crashing, ive validated it several times even did a clean reinstall earlier in the day? just curious if im the only one lol

none here are you useing an nvidia based GPU ? if so what drivers and what model card ?

You're not the only one.
I thought maybe they fixed the random crashes with the latest patch, but no.
In fact the crashes seem different: before it was a blackscreen, now the game just freezes.
Happened like 3 times in less than 1hr for me, then I gave up.

@crapfactory mine just says the not responding forcing me to stop or nothing pops up and it just turns off lol

thats your issiue then ..not judgeing not gonna say you have a ♥♥♥♥ GFX card (but ya do ) ..sorry

but yes the new as well as older nvidia drivers have issiues still to this day ..this is on an an nvidia game works title!!!!!!!!!


its F*cked up ..i run an AMD card had no crashes and no issiues with the game or hardware wise so for

now look at my config .. and please don't laugh it works !

i played thru the game almost twice now ... with this ...i just took Yuma's fort tonight for the second time after doiing all the missions !

+2 120s one intake one exhast +1 80 mm fan blowing on ram chips from the front

550 watt raid maxx power supply

Asus P5 B plain not anything just default P5B old as dirt mainboard bios 1604 ..again old can put in up to a Q9650

CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 ghz @ stock speed with a tuniq tower 120 cooler

8 Gig of Kingston DDR 2 800 4 - 2 gig sticks think they were $20 each

Asus R9 270 X Top edition with the direct C u cooling system 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5

Soundblaster live 24 bit sound card i scrapped out of someones old Dell they were chucking
(onboard reatek sound on motherboard =disabled )

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit

Logitech G400s gameing mouse (wired)

Logitech K330 wireless keyboard

Logitech Dual Action Gamepad (similar to the current Logitech F310)

acer 1080 p 24 inch wide sceen monitor max refesh 75 Hz

secondary that i use to play on SEKI 40 inch HDTV via Hdmi out from the back of my Asus card

but yes sir there currently are some issiues with Nvidia drivers several people have posted about ..i have had zero ..with hardware and the game .. maybe because i do not run SLI and yep thats BUSTED in the game thanks to UBI + nividia

same with AMD Crossfire is also disabled in the latest drivers for far cry 4

my best advise try running a single card till they fix the issiues

but your older hardware cant cope with what this game needs .. hell go look for yourself what this game does to new hardware ..

XD its cool i know i have a crap card.. (;-;) i was planning on probably getting a new card around next month...maybe this is now a more reason to go do it?

and yes like i said Nvidia users are kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ at this point as there seems to be an issue with the drivers i dunno i run AMD cards

bleh i guess ill wait it out...its just annoying because this is the only part ive had trouble on pretty much everything up to here ive had about 40-50 frames (decent on my standards) then i got here still getting the 40-60 frames but just crashing ALOT sometimes not even able to start the game because the launch crashes also...i even had trouble downloading it, it would just stop and id have to keep starting it...frustrating ;-;

scary ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ part is i almost bought a gtx 770 but snagged my R 9 270x when it was on sale for 169 ..a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ week later i could have had a R 9 280X 3 gig card for $20 more

but they went back up in price after x mas

try to buy your next card in late Febuary ..as i have noticed even ram prices drop then as well as CPU and GPU's over the past 3 years ..

and i am sorry you get the same crashes crapfactory is .. its gotta be driver related as all the posts i ask about that crash symptom = an Nvidia GPU ..UBI soft + nvidia need to look into this issiue

I'm not having any issues using a Nvidia GTX980

your one of few then and have a decently optimized PC ...look over the boards there are more issiues posted with Nvida cards then AMD recently

did not say it was with the new gen of Nvida cards ,,thats mostly affected .. but older cards in SLI seem to have issiues as SLI does not seem to be working out so well on those

and by the way secretly i hate you for owning a GTX 980 ya lucky SOB i wish i had the hardware + the cash as thats the card i would have bought as well as @ least 16 gig o ram
and a fine ass asus mobo + power supply .. hell i want 4 of em in quad SLI

but for now yes the nvidia drivers suck for older cards in FC4 under certian configurations
