brick factory mission does not end :: Far Cry 4 Player Support

i played Amita's side last night .. had no issiues .. have you verified your game files ?

and yes i played the Sablal side of that mission as well a few weeks ago and had no problems at all

I see a few other people have the same problem. Note as you move outside the immediate perimeter of the brick factory, the game reiterates the 'detonate the charges' message and swaps guns for you. As it's happening to a few people but not most, it'll probably be a weapon we're carrying, or a skill we do or don't have, something like that.

Big glitch that apparently nobody has had...help

So I don't actually have Far Cry 4 on Steam, I have it as a phsyical copy. But I'm currently going through a GAME BREAKING GLITCH and I've been looking everywhere online but apparently NOBODY ELSE HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM. This started on the mission "Advanced Chemistry", the one where Amita sends you to blow up the brick factory. I noticed that the mission objectives would compelely stop appearing, and the objective would only update every time I got to a checkpoint and then died. I then had to kill myself multiple times just so I could get through the level. In fact, I thought I was trapped, because when I got to the part where you kill everyone inside the factory and set the explosives, no objective came up and no exit was to be found. I walked around inside the factory aimlessly for about five minutes, and right before i was gonna give up and turn off the game, the mission objective finally came up and a door that was previously closed was now suddenly open. I was angry but expected it to be a one time glitch. NOPE. Now I'm on the mission "Free Willis" and the same **** is happening. I killed all the snipers and waited. Not only was there no sniper count in the top corner like there was supposed to be, but THE GAME DID NOT UPDATE THE OBJECTIVE AGAIN. So i once again killed myself, waited, and then was finally greeted by the updated objective. Then the next part, you have to save him from the general guy. and after I killed everyone that was hostile around him HE JUST SAT THERE STARING INTO THE DISTANCE AND ONCE AGAIN THERE WAS NO UPDATED OBJECTIVE. Except now, I tried the same thing once again (killed myself, waited) and it's literally not letting me get past this point at all. No matter how many times I restart, exit the game, or try killing myself and waiting, it's still not letting me get past this point. I'm tired of this ******* glitch and I really need help, the only problem is I think I'm the only person who has experienced this so far. PLEASE HELP

I also forgot to mention, after he just stood there staring off into the distance and no objective came up, I waited about two minutes before walking over to him and shooting him. The game did not care that I just killed the man who was the main point of the objective. Then I just stood there with no objective and a dead Willis. When I tried looting the enemies I killed, it showed the animation, but I got no money, ammo or objects from any of them....

Patch the Game. We on Steam have it up to 1.10, and there is no such glitch. Also since the game runs through UPLAY, that should have patched it for you anyway.

Thank you for the advice but I'm not sure that I have a patch available to download. There was a Uplay update that I downloaded about a week ago, but the problem has not been fixed. I'll try to stay vigilant though, maybe I missed something. Thanks again!

As of now, there is still no solution to my problem, in fact it has gotten worse. Now entire sturctures and even AI pop up out of nowhere right in front of me instead of loading from a distance like they should. The framerate is also horrible whenever I enter any forested area (all of this has never happened until now). I've updated my drivers and even uninstalled the game with no change to these problems

thanks for the advice. I have verified my game files and it told me that "all of the files were verified". I pressumed that this meant nothing was changed, but I played for a couple minutes just in case and have seen improvement in the framerate and less pop ups, but maybe it's just not acting up right now. I'm going to play the "Free Willis" mission later, and if that goes smoothly than I guess the problem is solved.

It is 2022 and this is still happening. It isn't something the user is doing wrong, it is something wrong with the game. It isn't consistent obviously, but SOMETHING about our games is glitching. A weapon we have, a skill we have or don't have or a save glitch?

I ended up closing out and coming back and it is now completely borked.

run the game with admin rights when doing so .. i have played the game for over 1400 hours on steam copy

twice that on a ubi only PC copy

i even have backed up save files posted in the player support forum for that exact mission
and never had any issue

if you need a walkthru of the mission look it up on you tube .. there are several video's available

Hello tsteele93, sorry to hear you have encountered this issue where the mission will not end for you.

To check if this mission completion issue is caused by a corrupted game file, we too would recommend verifying your game files in the Steam launcher by following this guide >

I believe the mission you are referring to if you help Sabal, is called Basic Chemistry (the mission is called Advanced Chemistry if you side with Amita)

There are a few walkthroughs online for this mission, if you do an internet search I would recommend following the guide along, to see if there is anything you may have missed doing, causing the mission not to complete.

If neither of these options work for you, please try restarting the mission again.
