Shangri-La final battle video guide

This is intended as a tutorial video and proof that this boss fight can be done without too much trouble. The trick as has been said before is staying mobile, but also staying aware of your surroundings. Move to the other side of the battle area when the bird goes into it's summons mode, and once there, keep moving just enough to avoid fireballs and arrows while keeping an eye on the bird and the detection indicators, to keep yourself ready to make arrow shots and stay opposite vs near the ground troops.

I found that on Hard the bird seems to have a bit tougher attack sequences than on Normal, so it took me a bit longer. There are times it will do back to back summons attacks, and even heave fireballs from close range vs just opening it's mouth. Even with these unpredictable moments, you can prevail with relative ease if you just stick to the tactics mentioned and don't panic. Before long it will all be over well before the Scorchers can send you to hell.

Like I've said previously, it felt like it was about 3 min on Normal. On Hard though, aside from the unpredictable attack sequences, the bird dropped once clear across the battle area, which cost me time getting to it. This still left a very manageable time of roughly 3:40 from the time I took control, to the final sending of the tiger, without ever having to heal or attack the ground enemies.

So if by chance any of you are still struggling, don't give up, it's just a matter of finding ways that work.

Yea I still need to do that, I almost beat him (was on the third wave of his attack) but the fireballs got me unexpectedly. Also it takes perfect timing with the shots too, the moment he opens his mouth is just barely enough time to get the shot ready and hit him before it closes

Actually you just need to keep an eye on him and be ready to aim your bow every time he goes into an attack, whether it's an open mouth one you can use or not.

I shot 18 arrows in this vid, only half of which are necessary. You can if you want tap R to cancel shots, which I did on the first shot, but it's not necessary. I was picking up arrows without even intending to.

If you mean the Speak No Evil speedrun, yes. I also plan to do a speedrun of the Willis Kill or Be Killed mission, which is one of my favorites.

yea thats the one hell i was dumb i fell in the hole with the bear when i played that mission .. umm it didnt end well ....

Yeah I imagine that wouldn't end too well. The Honey Badgers in the arena are WAY worse though.

I hate this final mission. In fact I got pretty wound up trying to do it. I just got swarmed by those bloody demons. But then, I am not that good at this. Thanks for the vid.

Did you get through it yet? Just stay on the move but mainly just get to the other side every time the bird starts turning blue to do the spawn attack. Avoid the ground skirmishes at all costs!

Yes I did. I did get killed off twice or three times before I finally did beat the bugger. I tried to stay away from the demons but sometimes on moving away from the spawn attack and the fire breathing I did run into a demon or two. Every time I took damage though I just kept an eye the dangers when healing.

Funnily enough I think I would still be struggling or I would have given up if not for your advice.

Phuck I hate this final mission. Phuck you to those who made this part... it leaves a ♥♥♥♥ stain taste on my tongue after such an enjoyable experience prior to this.

Thank you Frag Manic, I confirm the key is to basically ignore all the demons by staying mobile and focus only on the bird... Once I used this strategy I was able to kill it first attempt.

Tried it a few times, skipped it and just finished the game. Question you seem to get cut a lot by knifes you can hear it. But your health bar does not go down.
