Stretched out screen after Alt+Tabbing out

Whenever I Alt+Tab out of the game and try to retab in, the screen is extremely stretched out and I cannot reset it. This problem has persisted for a month or so for me and the only way I can fix it is to get a lucky click and reset screen resolution. Any advice, past experiences etc, are greatly appreciated

ALT + Enter is for AMD and Nvidia Cards.
unfortunally this is not a fix, after every start of FC4 i need to hit alt + enter but ... its playable.

1st system is XFX AMD Radeon 7970GHz Edition other is Inno3D GTX780 ichill herculez x3 ultra

and do you know that alt + enter = a standard windows command

and you dont have to use it once you set your game to launch in full screen via the in game menu?

sure man, i'm not that stupid ;)

fact is, i only have the problem with FC4.
also in the FC4 cfg u can see: 1920x1080-120HzFullscreen

what .cfg file ?

you mean gamerprofile .XML ?

thats not in mine ......

what is ......... is

ResolutionX="1920"
ResolutionY="1080"

Fullscreen="1"
Borderless="1"

so maybe thats why its not an issiue on my system ? dunno ?

might be i dont have the issiue as i didnt set the game up with any special setting in my driver control panel in catalyst control center and i shut off that annoying AMD gameing evolved thing that came with my drivers ( i have an Asus R 9 270 X )

i just used the in game options for my video settings and i possibly have a differnt monitor set up then what you have

but i never have to hit alt + enter when i load the game

i just noted that several people that use Nvidia cards have reported that issiue need and use alt + enter to correct it

had no idea it happens on AMD cards as well as it was never an issiue for me

i said this, with my 7970 AMD graphics card i dont have any problems.

i also think that the nvidia drivers are not that good right now, i can see this in many games.

i have 2 screens

1st Asus VG278HE 2nd Asus VG248QE

and i only have stuttering with FC4 and WatchDogs.
