Japanese language lies

I have waited long enough. This game was supposed to have full japanese language support. Why do you think it's okay to lie to your customers?

I can understand the fact you feel like you have been fool but we talk about Ubisoft here... Profit before quality and or support. Even though this is a successful strategy for most large buisness this is still sad for us...

Also maybe someone can confirm my theory i have think about that since the topic here are about game language. So my idea is maybe we have some more easter egg in loot description to find if we put the game language text option to french since Ubisoft Montreal probably have some french speaking employee. After all Quebec Canada are officially french speaking no?

I understand but I work 50 hours a week and time is much more limited for me than money. I'm also very invested in studying japanese which means I don't play games unless I can do something japanese related with it. with some games I know them well wnough to just stream in japanese or talk on skype in japanese while playing but it really helps to have the game in japanese.

I don't think I'll be playing this anymore and I feel my money was stolen.

Problem is, a translator to translate all the lines in the game is pretty damn expensive. All subtitles, all information, that's a lot of text. We're not talking about anime fan subs. We're talking professional translation.

The question is, would such a project be cost efficient the company? Most likely not.

That's just doing all the text. Not even going into full voice support. That would require casting and recording of a lot of lines. That's just throwing away money, good voice actors aren't exactly cheap and recording studios don't come free either.

Let's face it, how many Japanese native speakers play this game, who actually would want Japanese text and/or audio? I'm pretty sure it's not really a lot and that just doesn't justify such a monetary dedication on Ubisoft's part.

And OP, you're not a native speaker of Japanese, so you're not a target audience of such a hypothetical project. Language support, localization, etc, is for native speakers. There are also significantly better ways to study Japanese. That said, weeaboo much?

Far Cry 4 has a seperate release version for Japan due to localization requirements. If you purchased the game from Steam you may be able to contact Steam Support and have your region version changed, however this means you would only have the Japanese version.

I came to find how to set the language to Japanese. but,,, so it dose not have. Steam did another ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Tooks 48 hours to download now I need to delete it. Thanks.
