here to get at least steam + msi , I disable the uplay overlay and in the msi riva tuner I build a custom profil for fc4 and I enable the option "Custom direct3d support"

Try it manually first by setting the programs in taskmanger, if it works, this youtube vid shows how to make your own launch icon to set affinity automatically.

Another suggestion is maybe uncheck core 2 (3rd core since core count starts at 0) The game uses this core more than the rest.

If that doesn't work (I hope it does work though) I will try Boju's suggestion. If it helps any I am using Windows 8.1 Pro x64.
Following a post in this thread worked. I'm able to keep Rivatuner on and the game works fine. The overlay doesn't work but that's fine. My fan profile works and that's all that matters. Thanks for all the help =)
If it still dont work (finicky at times) just disable the overlay in fc4 an you can have it running fir your fan profile. All assuming you're running the latest afterburner.
