Stuck at Intro Scene
I cannot get past the intro, immediately after the title, which comes after the very cutscene with the helicopter. The exact part where I'm stuck is when you have a bag over your head and can't see much. At this point, I get maybe 2 or 3 still images, extremely dark (I couldn't have guessed what it was without looking it up on YouTube).

It isn't a core issue or anything technical like that because I am able to play the game in multiplayer. I've looked around but I can't find anything to solve this problem.

I have now wasted close to 5 hours over this complication and the next thing I'll do, if nothing else works, is uninstall Far Cry 4, get another game, and never buy from Ubisoft ever again.

Thanks in advance for any help you may provide.

I can hear ambient sounds, but visually, it's either complete darkness, or stuck muddy images I mentioned before. It's as if the soundtrack is moving on while the visuals are on a complete standstill. There is absolutely nothing I can do from this point on, and even getting out of it is complicated: alt+tab doesn't work quickly, when it works at all and ctrl+altgr+del works just as badly. It takes anywhere from 10 minutes to more simply to close the program. Last time, I had to shut my computer down because I just couldn't get out of the game.

generic windows install date is often set to that

Then how come the game works in multiplayer?
-=SOF=-WID99 May 23, 2015 @ 12:36pm
also once you do get enough ram the game is not gonna run very well on a GTX 460 its the minimum supported video card low to medium settings at best ..

multiplayer takes less memory i guess due to the smaller map size and less has to load into system memory

again minimum system requirements are 4 gig of memory

you should read these before you buy or install software
system requirements are located on the store page before you buy ..

you need to make sure your PC meets or exceeds them before you clik buy ..

Some people have managed to get the game running with less than the minimum requirements; I am not convinced that the problem is with my computer. Generally, when you run a game that's too much for your machine, it's just unplayably slow, but it's not stuck. Here, the cutscene just won't happen, and I have heard of many others with much stronger computers who had similar problems.

I appreciate your help and thank you for it, though.

ok well good luck! ..its not gonna work and system memory is not that expensive of an upgrade it will help your PC run other games and applications better too as well as windows itself

you can try to convince yourself other wise .. but seriously you need more then 3 gig of memory for Far Cry 4 to work

So I should get RAM?
-=SOF=-WID99 May 23, 2015 @ 12:48pm
yes i use 8 gig of ram in all of my machines .. hell i have 16 gig in my laptop

good rule of thumb max out your system ram if ya can ..your machine will perform better

I need a new computer anyway. Depending on how much RAM is and how much more I can shove in my computer, I'll either get more memory or wait and get a whole new machine.

I bought Bulletstorm in the meantime. Can't go wrong with Polish FPS games. First time I get a game I can't play, I'm very surprised.

not surprised at all FC4 will not run with 3 gig of ram .. its a pretty demanding game and like i said that GTX 460 you have in there is ok .. but not for high res gameing maybe 1280 x 720 at best with medium settings ..its a pretty old GPU

newer games will perform better with newer GPU"s .. i use a GTX 960 just got it a few months ago ..-plays FC4 in ultra settings @ 1920 X 1080
