Rare skins in V. of Yetis?

I got one in a hunt that just sprang up while I was walking around, the rest were found in crates. I think I have all except my wallet and ammo bag maxxed out and I haven't even done the first pilot mission after the intial radio tower fight.

Untill now I found only regular skins in crates, have all the upgrades except from last ones that require rare skins. :)

I was at the location of the first side mission where you hijack the truck (slightly NW of radio tower) and an elephant head logo popped up. Walking into the blue mission zone started it up. It was one of those dingo things, the wild dog smaller than a wolf, whatever the hell FC4 calls them. lol

I also forgot that I had a hunting mission for 3 bears spontaneously start without me taking on the mission. I had the yellow progress bar on the screen after I killed one of them without even realizing I was in a mission.

all the rare skins are in the crates you acually get double what you need for upgrades

so once you get your upgrades done you simply sell em off

also if ya can pull it off Kill the yeti's with your bow and arrow once you have upgraded your skills and you get 2 yeti hearts each time you skin one which you can sell for 93000 rupees each

go to the far northeast position on the map and yeti's pop up all over ..just be ready to kill all the freaking wolves i'd suggest you get the buzzsaw before going up there as the wolves are relentless and keep spawning everywhere around you

buzzsaw is kinda hard to get but its located near the MG42 you have to kinda slide down a cliff face to land at it ..i musta died a dozen times trying till i was able to land on the ledge without killing myself

as well as the M79 that comes in handy too for yeti killing :)

oh and if ya run into a yeti and your up on rocks be careful if ya piss it off they whip rocks at you LOL ..so be ready to DUCK!

Ah, I remember some message on the screen regarding some bears when I approached the location of the upgrade quest at far East near "Deserted expedition" location or something like that... I thought it was the upgrade quest itself, but it turned to be regular hijacking quest... So it was a separate hunting mission... I'll return there and see if I can still take it...

WID, I got SA-50 right after 1st night at the Relay station (I went there after reading that post), MG-42 and Buzzsaw I discovered myself. I saw the icons on that mountain from the very beginning, but managed to find the way up only later in the game. It really paid up! ;)))

Thanks for the tip of M79 location, I really wanted to find it, though I think the D2 (NNW to the relay station) seems to be more useful as a sidearm, since the damn wolves are TOO annoying in this DLC, you just can't make two damn steps without them trying to eat you... :)))

got all crafting done but the Sky tiger (last syringe kit ) i'm guessing its up by the AMR that i cant seem to reach on that mountain top south of the relay station ..almost got there but tanked into the cliffside 3 times trying the wingsuit from the peak next to it ..so i gave up on it :)

still have not done my third night at the relay station have to upgrade the garden yet and one more truck mission to unlock the northern fire traps

sky tiger is not by the AMR :(

where the heck is it ?.. noo noo dont tell me

pretty sure its in the NE section on top of that mountain but i keep crashing again with the wingsuit after an arduous climb / swing session

(i just hit the C key a bit early and pasted a smear again on the rocks ... )

the AMR = one shot kills a yeti so at least now if i run into one i can play rock fight with him till i get tired of it LOL

the AMR you must wingsuit to get ..thats the only way i found to get up that high

I'm not sure if this is a glitch or what, but I had this happen again today...

At a place near the center of the map there is a location called abandoned camp (something like that, anyway). When I discovered it, 3 separate hunting quests showed on the map, but there were already bears, wolves and leopards running around.

As I killed them off, the hunting missions completed even though I didn't officially accept them.

yea i ran into a lepoard hunting quest like that and 2 with wolves

it just popped up and i had to wipe em all out till the yellow bar left the screen

I've just scoured the map with the buzzer (as close to the ground as possible) looking for more skin chests. I'm left with a "Shadow Leopard's Skin" & "Mad Devil's Skin" in my Loot Bag and all crafting complete except for the Bait Bag (Gulo's Skin) & Throwables Bag (Black Water Dragon's Skin).
The crafting screen actually says "Get the skin from a Skins Loot Chest"....
After finishing the campaign and not stumbling upon these two Loot Chest, I'm at a loss where to find them.

That's odd as I found those ,dunno which chest or where , but I have all crafting done other then the sky tiger skin for the syringe kit (cant find it yet )

I also have not seen a single buzzer in my game yet?


And have an extra mad devil as well as thick skin hide I can't drop or sell and one extra Shadow leopard skin I'm stuck with toting around..pretty sure I got the black water dragon skin on one of the first relic quests in a yeti cave

so that might not be seen from the buzzer and its possible i picked up the gulo skin in another cave

im guessing you cant get the buzzer till the end ?

found most of the weapons you dont have to pick one up and hang on to it BTW

just pick it up shoot it then switch back the the weapon you were useing and next sherpa visit or shop visit you make it'll unlock that weapon

just be carefull where you drop your weapon as i lost my bow when it fell into a crate when i got the crossbow and lost it again when it got stuck in a wall when i dropped it (typical UBI bug ) once in a shallow cave
