Opening Dinner Scene Location?

I'm fartin' around in North Kyrat looking for the location of the opening dinner scene and Darpan's torture. I just can't seem to find it. Anyone have any luck, maybe point me the way?

south Kyrat in the mountains ..i think some one posted you could almost see the first tower from there its west of the golden path training camp in the south .. it's Depluers house your at at the beginning of the game ..not in the north

you will recall that sabal even says that the reason they found you is they are not used to seeing pagans chopper so far south

some one posted a screen shot of that first tower they got ..they had to use a wingsuit to get the shot i belive (remember that first tower you found before you got to the first outpost called Banapur)

so the location is not accessable and is not depluer's compound as there is no tower nearby

(its his house in south Kyrat ) its in the mountains

the guy got the screen shot of the tower from up in the snowy mountains ..i tried getting there myself ..no luck .. so far ..i did get pretty far up tho ..then got the out of bounds error thing popping up so i must have taken a wrong route

its also possible to get above the Keo gold mine somehow and get to the levels where you fight kauling (in the payback level) some how as some one else posted screen shots of being there in the day time ..again they used the wingsuit some how

and also you can get really high up west of Yuma's fort and get a great veiw again use the buzzer and a wingsuit to get there

I am no expert, and will always defer to others' knowledge on the game, but I thought the opening scene was Pagan's castle (in the North). Guess I was wrong. Happens a lot. But I thought the game ends in the same place it started...

Thanks for the reply - I'll scout around a little more.

I could have sworn it was North as I did a map check during the escape from the dinner party and although it was fogged up I definitely got the impression it was in the southern end of North Kyrat.

It's definitely not the City of Pain (or whatever they called it).

Anyone have coords or links to these screenshots mentioned. My Google-Fu is turning up zilch.

like i said remember what sabal tells you in the beggining of the game where he mentions the reason they found you is they have not seen pagans chopper so far south ..so it cant be in the Kings palace as thats found the most northern part of the map

this happens i think when you first reach Banapur after you have defended that first tower
(where sabal mentions it )

you'll note you can never find that tower again by normal means that is surrounded by snow

so the location like i said is somewhere west of the southern location where the golden path training camp is .. up in the mountains ..you can get pretty high up if ya try

i forget what the location is called ..i'll have to fire up my game to look

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Pagan say to Ajay in the ending scene "At our first meeting, you sat right here. Paul, was off applying voltage to the nipples of your rude little plus one." as he points to one of the chairs in his dining room?

He does say that but...but...that was a different room. For some reason though and I have no evidence to back it up, I assumed the scene took place in the same rough location, at least in the same building.

yes but listen to what sabal says too in the first cut scene at banapur about seeing pagans chopper so far south ..that would not make sence if you were at the palace plus there are letters from Pauls kid sitting around the dinner location ..why would they be at pagans palace ?

i think the real location like i said is somewhere west of army supply flight 2707 up in those snow filled mountains .... remember that first tower gets hit by an avalanche

and there are no towers near the palace plus when you get in the car crash after escapeing pauls house the terrain looks more like the south then the north as far as the vegetation and tree types... go up by pagans place there is very little green ?

I never could find it a second time, but there was one location that seemed very interesting but I couldn't access it. There was a metal grating --a fairly large one-- where you could see an underground area with furniture and stuff, a treasure chest.... I never could find the way in, and I thought I'd go back to it ....but can't find it now.

the metal grate on a hillside ? go up to the top of the mountain you will find a well you need to grapple down thats where the goat lies (the guy behind all the masks )

and on the wall are some X & Y coordinates that say they lead to a treasure

metal grate is at approx X:710 Y:633.2 ?

east of Keo Pradhana mine ? on a moutain top ?

go down the well from the top of the mountain to find the Goat

note on wall says go to ..well go see for yourself LOL
