I just used the number keys to select weapons.
Ubisoft needs to rehaul it
Accuracy, plus the hotkeys are super nice since controllers don't have enough buttons most of the time. I almost always play keyboard and mouse with first person, and controller with third person. The one exception to that I guess is Dead Island which I couldn't stand with keyboard and mouse for some reason.
I really have trouble getting immersed when I use a controller too, I played mostly console games as a kid so I dunno why that is.

Why they didn't implement something better is beyond me. Look at older games like Crysis, it worked so well that you could select different powers in a short lapse of time.
The only thing that could make someone throw up is your retarded peasant post.
FPS shooters were never intended to be played with a damn pad. It's that way nowadays for the simple reason that consoles don't have a mouse/keyboard combo.
And then they had to improvise. Moving the aiming with an analog stick? really?!? It's so obvious that it's not a suitable peripheral, that most games had to implement auto aim to be playable with a pad.
