Far Cry 4

Far Cry 4

Vezi statistici:
I like Far Cry 4, but I love Far Cry 3 *Spoilers*
Well my English sucks, but please dont tease on me about that.
Far Cry 4 is surely an advanced version of Far Cry 3 in terms of graphics, side quests, adventures, gameplay, and I like Far Cry 4, it has charming character like Pagan Min, he didn't show up in game for many times, but he surely bring memories. It has gorgeous graphics, dangerous wildlife, and smooth gameplay......

but unfortunately in my opinion, Far Cry 3 has a better plot

-----TL:DR for both points of below analysis of Far Cry 4:
Weak Character, I am just a super soldier from Golden Path, Not a big role in the story.
-----FIRST, in Far Cry 4, the characters introduced are not as strong as I feel in Far Cry 3, sure Pagan Min is good but the Golden Path and the other bad guys like De Pleur, they deserve more exploration on them, I dont even get the chance to know them much and I need to kill them because of the stupid Golden Path.
-----SECOND, in Far Cry 4, the plot is not as memorable as Far Cry 3, you joined Golden Path, you shoot bad guys, you reached Pagan Min and revealed his romance sad story, and you scattered the ashes, and boom. I dont feel engaged as Ajay seriously, yes I understand Pagan Min is very nice to me eventhough I am not his son, I know his story, but what is my role in the story of Pagan Min, a hero from Golden Path? Or just a son come here to serve the redemption of Pagan Min? unfortunately, either way, I am just a guy with nothing in Kyrat, I am not a important role in the deeper side of the story. From both Pagan Min and Golden Path, I am just a super soldier from Golden Path.

-----In Far Cry 3, the plot is better
TL:DR version for analysis of Far Cry 3:
Strong characters, emotional endings, deep storyline
-----FIRST, the character introduced is stronger affected to the plot, Jason, Citra, Vaas, all my friends, they are what important in the plot, the madness of Citra, the escape of Vaas from CItra and the redemption of Vaas, Jason who witnesses the experience of Vaas and get his own choice to not step over his path again, all of the memories, are memorable. And surely the plot is deeper, although the story is nothing like the one in Kyrat, civil wars, rebellion stuffs, although it is more personal, the story is undoubtedly deeper.
-----Second, you played an important role in the story, you saw Vaas, you think he is mad, Vaas keeps trying to tell you his past and to not fall into the same path as him again, you saw Citra, never know she is a ♥♥♥♥♥ before she killed you for your "sperm of warrior", you are the player who reveal the story behind Vaas step by step, and you have been given the freedom of choices to join Citra or save your friends as Vaas warned. You are in control of the story and you played an important role, you have empathy on a guy named Vaas who brought similarity to you, unlike Far Cry 4, you cant have any empathy and feeling of engagment in an unfamiliar place and random people while Pagan Min is the only character created well to make you feel like you are alive in Kyrat, right?

Maybe one day like Far Cry 5, during the mid game, a cutscene with the soundtrack of Vaas death arises, and Vaas walks slowly towards me, and ask me the exact same question again, "did I ever tell you, the definition, of insanity" .

Postat inițial de I HAVE NO IDEA!:

I agree that he is by far the best character in the game and I'm struggling to think of an NPC in my history of gaming that was better or more memorable, he seriously rocks but most of the other characters were good if not great. Willis, Hurk and Reggi and Yogi were solid and the others weren't bad but I think it was let down by Sabal and Amita, not the voice actors but the script and their one dimensional nature, tradition/progress and the corruption of power, etc.

I probably agree with you that Far Cry 3 had the better story, but 4 is the better game by a close margin. No sharks though. :(

I looked up Troy Baker today, who did the voice for Pagan, he's been in a lot of games:

I also found this, which puts faces to the other characters:
